I know that this has been on nearly all the time.
it always get shot down because of being abused.

GL is getting boring for me. I love npcing but not the eight hours clicking or the button mashing stages.

So why dont dan introduce a 200 per day "ability" to instantly kill Non-bosses NPCs
Or bosses take 20 ability uses from the total.

This would create a more interest for people who have less time & be good to the hardcore players.

We can insta kill 200 NPCs a day?

NPCing is supposed to take time. It's a lot of work for the rewards

So it's basically a "I'm too lazy to clickclickclick for the set amount of time I chose to be on for" button?

I'm a much lower level, but I think this sounds like a great idea. And whoever mentioned "work" is just silly. NPCing costs energy, like everything else. This could be done to take away the energy, I assume, thus keeping all things equal while saving players time and finger soreness

Nah, you should all be subject to the same miseries that all of us high ranks have suffered with, wrist issues, clicking finger problems(those with touchpads), as well as being strong enough to power through that pain.

Why should people suddenly get the game handed to them on a plate, in terms of making the game easier to play.

Not to mention .. the only thing stopping the auto-rankers is the actual time involved with doing all that clicking to be able to auto-rank

Um... I'm pretty sure it was a "high ranker" who suggested this in order to make it easier for all of you. I don't have this problem. I barely NPC these days.

Agreed. NPC'ing fast actually slows the player down, because they aren't recovering 120 energy every hour of senseless clicking. And quite frankly, 99% of all players don't have 8 hours to dedicate to NPCing. The most I can dedicate a day to this game is an hour... on weekends. About 20 minutes a day the rest of the week. Add the screaming agony of nerve damage to my thumb and it's a wonder I still play at all.

Auto-rankers actually screw themselves. They get weaker ships on a level by level basis and when they cross the 2200 mark they loose key NPCs.

no, not really. Proper NPC auto ranking will generate the best ships because they'd have the best planets. The ones that *beep* themselves are those that auto-rank via short cuts. This includes but not limited to: being human, using NI, using mem implant, insufficient attack:rank ratio and thus relies on a very high energy:rank ratio(higher than 12 IMO is too high), auto rank on missions. What those essentially does is lower the # of NPC you can kill per rank and thus lowering the total number of NPC killed up to 2200.

back to topic at hand, I'd vote against. I simply don't see much of a point. I personally either go on a 2k+ NPC run or don't really bother... 200.... ain't gonna fit anywhere. I don't have the buff to waste on mini runs.

I'm 20, normally i like to switch games. This one i've kept but i need to go to work and other things.
Where am i gong find 8 hours stretch to create nerve damage with the endless effort for 3 troop carriers.

1) instant kill bosses (% damage) was add on, not in the original idea.
2) dan can set up a system to make swarm -99.9% npc still effect you but with out the endless energy.
3) Auto ranking isn't a issue, this is 200 per day. If i wanted to auto rank, i can do it in 30 minutes using npcs and missions ect.
4) For hardcore players, this 200 kill is a quick way to see if you lucky today or not, If you get 1 even 2 troop carriers during
the 5 minutes of killing them. maybe its worth the 8 hours stretch that day.
5) for softcore players, lacking time. Its something to keep them going, something fast.

You might say the amount of clicking in this game isn't any different than any other game.
WHATS TRUE. but your more focused on the clicking what makes it look like more, Feels like more effort and end result, Boring.

All that people are asking, Including I is a system to benefit all that can't be abused
with less clicking or more reward in short period of time. "A Daily Boost".

There just little bits in the game that could make a big difference, like i'm clicking use on mass pods, i have over 100.
Why couldn't there be a "use All" button or "use X Amount", I'm going get the same result. 6K cargo space.
But instead of 100 clicking, I would like 3.

If dan put simple things to reduce the amount of clicking, here might find that alot more players would be more active.
Theres time to do thing in the game then. Like look, you have a scrap button 1 - X amount you have. Copy the code and transfer it into
use X amount, Change a few coding lines.

Well i'm off.

Dan is never going to implement a instant kill anything to the game.

Nah, you should all be subject to the same miseries that all of us high ranks have suffered with, wrist issues, clicking finger problems(those with touchpads), as well as being strong enough to power through that pain.

Why should people suddenly get the game handed to them on a plate, in terms of making the game easier to play.[/quote]

Wow, way to discourage new players, game growth, and long term player retention. Every time I've watched another diehard fan of this game quit in frustrated rage it's because it's become a slog and it's not fun any more. Suffering and pain shouldn't be part of a game.

I'm not trying to discourage new players. Its a fact of gaming, play any game for enough hours and you will suffer from inherent health issues. Its not just this game, its all games, hence the warning packs that come with games and consoles these days.

The fact of it is, people want "effortless" ways to play this game, rather than actually put the effort into completing the actions, the way they've been programmed for 3 years now.

I certainly won't be so bold as to say that i speak for the majority in that playing this game should take at least some effort, but i'll let the fact that there aren't too many people supporting this idea speak for itself.

I will say this though, if Dan wants to bring this into play, please do so soon. :D

I and the rest of my legion will gladly take advantage of the fact that all we have left in this game are NPC's & we shall outrank the content you have set for us, as our 2-3 ranks a day becomes 30+ ranks a day.

Personally, I think you should be getting minimal experience for NPCs after a while. "Killed five thousand Shadin Fighters today? I'm sorry you don't learn anything more." THe higher your level, the less lower level NPCs should be worth.

But how about this. Give the players a single click kill only on Common and Uncommon NPCs that has a 10 second cool down and you can't attack while it's cooling down. That's 6 Common's every minute, and you take the chance of someone sharing a Silthion Queen in that time.

so youre saying you should be able to kill even more npcs per rank than you already can at higher levels?

and chargers are matched npcs btw...

-1 to OP. No insta kills, but I would be open to a 10 energy or 20 energy shot button. Seems a good middle ground as I too am tired of all the clicking.

@Uy23e, most of what you said is wise info, but the truth is, the player with the highest APR in the game did it by having massive amounts of energy and auto ranking off of missions. Dan has sense nerfed the missions, but just pointing out that you don't have to rely on npcing to build a massively strong ship.
