I cannot tell you how many base raids I've missed because I could get on to do damage but couldn't get back on to do the raid. Can't you please just have the base disable trigger automatic raid attempts by everyone who hit the base?

+1. I like this idea but the auto raid should be a selectable option for the user.

Well, some ppl might not have armory on at all times but those are seriously few....

Ya, I think Auto raids should happen. some of us have work and other obligations. If there going to out nrg in to the fight let them try for a raid. all and all its one more annoying click on a timmer. Not having a million billion timmers and things to get you to log in all the time is part of GL biggest attractions.

+1 thats a great idea .. you still get a reward from an npc if you are afk and its disabled.. and there is already a calculation in place to get a badge.. just add another calculation for crate

I also don't like it. The raid is your reward for helping your legion fight til the end.

Did you spend a ton of energy to reach the point of gathering those resources for that day? Base raid is different. As was previously said, one spends a lot of energy helping take out a base and might have other obligations to take care of and will miss the chance to raid the base. Single player combat requires that a person be there. Bases and npc don't. That's why base raids should be different. Single vs. Group

In that case the whole raid mechanic is flawed. For single player (Pvp) raiding you are required to be there to perform the raid. If you want to lump bases together with NPCs it should just be a guaranteed drop just like a boss.

I see no problem with this idea. Failing the raid is your reward for not doing enough damage. If you walk away from the fight then you don't deserve the base raid. If you have real life stuff going on well this is just a game after all. The game rewards people for playing and being online and should continue doing so.

to those comparing this idea to collecting resources and raiding in pvp, its not the same. base raids you have a couple hours between the time its disabled. I unfortunately miss most base raids.my schedule just doesnt fit with legion base schedule.it works for most of the legion but a few of us miss out.
in comparison, you have 24 hours to collect your daily pulls, anyone who logs in once a day can get their pulls without issue. Raiding a ship in pvp, you are obviously present during the disable so its not like you can miss your opportunity to raid.
I think this is a great idea, it would still work the same, you are either successful at the raid or not, you just dont have to be there when it happens.I dont see why this would be a problem or imbalance in any way and it looks to me like the majority agrees.
