dan why do we pay 5 gp to abandon a planet and then have to wait 12 houres its ok to wait but 12 houres wait is abit to long to wait when your clearing out crap planets which you dont want anymore

I agree that would be a bit annoying, the obvious answer is don't take carp planets. But everyone was a n00b at the beginning, so I understand.
That being said, if for whatever reason your account gets hacked (or you leave it open when your 3 year old thinks it'd be fun to click things), it at least limits the damage they can do for a bit... There's not really a reason to not have a cooldown, and some reason to have it... -1

Agreed. Granted, once I use GP, I'm paying real money for a service, IMO so in this instance a shorter timer wouldn't be that bad of an idea. Maybe 4 hours?

Oh and Scmadar, technically you got first post given that the first post was of that of the author of the thread.

Ah I meant 2nd post ever actually, this is my third. I've been a forum member for quite some time but never actually posted anything.

A shorter timer might be better, yeah. Though you're not necessarily using real money, I've gotten about 15GP in 2.75 years of daily rewards.
