At level 129 I helped defeat a Vortul, Crimson Annihilator and all I got was an Auto-laser, the weakest of crimson weapons (available even on the level 45 Crimson Vault). I suggest removing the laser drop from Vortuls (keeping the usual auto-phaser, vortul blaster, and vortul plating). |

+1. honestly, i think only vortule weapons and armor should drop from VORTULE, but considering every npc needs a crappy item drop, it would be good to leave the phaser in there. |

I agree as well. The Vortul Blast Phaser should be unique to the Vortul, so you should have a good chance of getting one when you disable one. |

Well you do have a good chance of getting one. It's just that for some strange (to say the least) reason there are two version of the said NPC. The one you mention and another one with the same stats as far as I know that is link-able to rank 200 and higher and drops either plates or blaster. Yes, I know, it's f'd up. |
