we have the grav whip trap for direct damage which is basically an omicron mine, and quite a few traps that increase attack and defense, just like the seemingly infinite number of stat boosters we have for ships, but unlike ships there isn't an artifact that temporarily renders it unassailable. why not? it doesn't have to be for a day or anything, but it would be great to help defend a planet with.
for example:someone who is constantly farming you because you're level 60 and they're level 97, so you alert them so that you're higher ups could make it where they'd no longer bother you, but 8 hours later you're large 5X mega rich research massive terra is getting attacked, and you're not strong enough to defend it, you can't really do much to protect it other than place traps constantly and hope you have enough and that few of their members are online.
odds are that 5X mega rich research massive terra is going to get taken.
so why not have a trap that makes a planet temporarily immune to attacks, like the halycon. but make it for two hours intervals, dropped by a matched uncommon npc maybe, or have a high artifact point cost, or as a daily reward.
comment and tell me what you think about this.

Well, it would have to be a small time, if the point is to give you time to get online or see the (lagged) "your under attack" message before you are invaded. That's if it confers invincibility, but that's powerful. A more common use that I could see having an AP drop for is a regular trap that hits 1 person like the halcyon but for planets. That would help a little bit anyway. I like the idea of having a 15-30m invincible period so you can react to the invasion, but it would have to be uncommon and not an AP drop.

I can see that. hitting one person. or maybe instead of that, maybe an artifact that auto-alerts the planet to your legion. like a distress beacon.

The distress call thing has been argued before. Although, that's a pretty cool thing -- we cant be online all the time. The question is that too powerful, for legion mates to be alerted by it ?

it would depend on how powerful your legion is. for the dysonians, yeah that's a powerful tool. for a legion that has 25 members where the highest is 120? not as much. hahaaha. it's useful though. maybe put a timer on it, like how people can see a planet you alert for the what? 12 hours? make it like 4 or 5 before the internal battery of the beacon dies.
