I really liked this idea and it took me back to some other games that had similar PvP, but they beefed it up with some other minor changes.

Currently the only benefit to PvP is the 4x return rate on XP and the battle reputation title. What i propose is 2 things. One based on Ferrus Manus' suggestions. Rewards for PvP wins would be very similar to the mission completion rewards, except maybe multiplied by 10, i.e. one for 30 kills, one for 60 kills, etc... this system was implimented in Castle Age and Haven, and was one of my goals to get to the top when playing... even if i didnt get there. lol.

The other thing i was thinking is customizable titles for your ship. Currently we have the standard balanced, dangerous, harmful, etc... BUT what if you could gain titles based on completing in-game achievements. For example. Complete 10 missions would give you the 'Novice' prefix. Killing 10 NPCs would give you another prefix, and the PvP combat rep would be another prefix. Then based on the stats of your ship, like attack, defense, cloak, and scan would give you the affix. like Soldier, Warrior, Warlord, etc. for attack stats (you could recieve a new one for each 500 attack or so. it could be scaled too. you could recieve titles like Defender, Praetorian, etc for defense, and similar ones for the other stats. These two titles can be put together to give a stat boost. like a 'Savage' 'Praetorian' could give you a 5% xp boost towards PvP, with a scaled hard bonus on defense.

you can set your title from the ship page, selecting the Prefix and Affix from two different pulldown tabs.

these two things together would add a whole new level to PvP making it something to really work for along with completing all the missions ingame.

It all sounds pretty good, as long as they can come up with worthwhile rewards for the kills, though it'd need to start going up by more than 10, especially since it would probably apply for battles people already have. It should go up to a few thousand at least, certainly well above the current kill leader.
