Post subject:  Enumeration Crystals as a GP item & 2 New Crystals
That would be great if we could buy Enumeration Crystals with GP (Say 50gp each) could even have 2 new types

Extraction Crystal - Permanently increases the Mining output of a planet by 1, up to a maximum of 20x Mega Rich.
Systematic Crystal - Permanently increases the Research output of a planet by 1, up to a maximum of 20x Mega Rich.

Thoughts??

I can understand your thinking, but seriously, no one is going to buy something that increases research or mining (well, at least not for 50GP). Toxic Purifiers have a good spawn level and can be got easily enough with some serious NPC'ing. Research can already get well beyond 20x so not really necessary.

+1 to arti, now that's something I'd be interested in.

I like the idea I'm not too cool with your price Transformers cost 36 and give +1 to each, Maybe just an upgraded "improved terraformer" which adds 1 to each up to +20? that I could see for 50....

I do not really like this particular suggestion, sorry man.

At the moment, a hardcore NPCer can get x15 planets. This has more or less set the quality of the best "normal" planet a player can produce from hard work.

Enumeration crystals allow us to get to x20, but there is a large element of luck and excitement involved. Really, the best you can do is get 3 (or at most 5, consistently) chances to get one per day, at a reasonably low % roll.

A few missions allow us to get to this x20 limit as well, and they are both rare and awesome.

I honestly just feel that being able to buy them would stop those x20's being special.


Still, this is an emotional response. Practically, im sure this would bring dan quite a lot of money, as a bunch of people charge out and upgrade their planets.

Enumeration Crystal (Uses Left: 20)

The crystals are out there it just takes hard work to get them The game is already very easy with a CC I don't think the gap between heavy spenders and regular players needs to be widened any more.

I know I wouldn't pay 250 gp to up my gases to 20x or my toxics to 20x.
Now if it was a super rare Npc that drop those 2 that would be fine, but ti would need to be rarer than the troop and have a level restriction on it. something like rank 1500 or 2200 and if it is the 2200 level guys then add in the e crystals too.
What would also be nice is if they said +2 to the production of your choose if the planet hasn't been fully terraformed or up to 15x

As pointed out already, some of the hardcore gamers can easily get x15 research and x16 mining planets. I'm not even a hardcore GL gamer (although I enjoy playing it), and I have two x16 mining and one x15 mining planet from Blade Harvester drops.

Also, as pointed out, 50GP is a lot to pay for a crystal that ups just one production type by +1, when a terraformer is only 36GP and gives +1 to all resources.

I think the only way your crystal ideas could work is if it didn't fundamentally ruin the game mechanics, e.g. if the crystals were cheaper (maybe 20GP?), and you can only use them on a resource that's not beyond x1 mega rich. It would be useful for those planets you conquered early in the game that you'd rather beef up than abandon.

I'm sure there would be people, among the big GP spenders (such as Ghetto/Anzid), who would happily spend money on things like them.

GPnumeration Crystals, NO. That would just give wallet warriors one more advantage over people that actually PLAY the game.

Research Crystals, no. After a certain point, there's no point in increasing your planetary research production points, so a Research Crystal is pretty pointless.

Mining Crystals, again, no. Mineral production is the absolute easiest resource to increase. Purifiers are by a large margin the simplest boosting artifact available. If you can't get enough mining from a relative handful of Toxic/Irradiated planets, you are sooo doing it wrong. Therefore, also pointless.

I truly agree with you. You cant just be able to buy the stuff, you need to work for it. What would be the point of the game if you could buy the items to make the game easier? -1

You already CAN buy your way to success in this game with QSEs, Terraformers, and RTs as well as storage towers. And don't forget you can buy Planet Fluxes for those great steals.

You're insinuating I don't actually play the game. I can't speak for anyone else but I've always consideredyself very active.
