I like the idea, but then if the xp is removed their shouldn't be a limit to how much energy being placed, which i guess was to ensure that everyone will be ranking up, no matter how low the xp to energy ratio was ( being 1 xp to 1 e.p. ) at a later date in your bases level.
~ To simply put it, id like to see this implemented but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

+0 got mixed feelings about this..
on one side, Dan doesnt seme to want players above Rank 3000, as theire are basickly nothing to do for them so This would give them something to do with theire energy where they don't gain any exp
we already have legion missions like Galakis, City of Deals, Task 1 Establish Planetary Routes where you basickly can dump 10.000 energy (cost 20 * 500 energy to use the 20 Galakis Route Marker) without gaining any exp
the Purger mission (Stellar Cartography) where you get less then 1 exp pr energy spendt 75 energy + 200 EM = 50 exp, and repedable so you can more or less dump as mutch energy as you need to get rid of into it
the TC lab, where you can dump energy into making artifacts
all these have limites, to how mutch energy you can put into them, purger mission gives exp, so it will rank you soner or later, Legion missions are random so you cant be sure you get a Energy dump mission, and unless you have extremly high artifact production you can run out of the artifacts you need for the TC lab
so an option where you can easily dump energy without getting any exp would be nice...
but on the other hand, the bonus production you get form a high level base is quite nice a level 7 base can easily give you around 75K artifact points pr day, if we break it down to production pr houre, that is basickly a 3.125 points bonus to your hourely production that you don't need storidge to hold
so I think it is fair that you need to gain a few ranks to get that bonus and the amound of exp you get already depends on the base level

so I'm not sure reducing the exp gain to 0 is a god idear, as it also efect low rank players trying to build up a new base but reducing the exp ration for high rank bases a bit to something like
level 7 = 0.75 exp pr energy, level 8 = 0.5 exp pr energy Level 9 = 0.25 exp pr energy
I think would work better

I like the idea. and those who think this would increase donations as people could donate more at the end of a rank it stops people from using a bunch of cubes and gaining a rank every couple of refills so effectivly decreases energy donation ammount.
I would also like unlimited repeatable missions to give no xp either because I see it as an investment of energy and resources to build the reward like a ct lab design but thats a different suggestion

NO, I have gained over 100 ranks adding energy to bases. It is up to the player to weigh up adding masses of energy vs gaining ranks. I would not like there to be any changes.
