instead of Complainig about SSB ships beeing to powerfull, and that the dammage cap needs to be changed lets give the huge ship builds a weapon that would work for them so..... RSL Experintal Gatteling laser ( size 500, attack = (your number of decks / 2) + (10 attac for every system you have online)) for a huge ship with 6K decks and 300 ship systems on line, that would be size 500, attack 6000 or a 1 : 12 size to attack ratio for a SSB build it would be useless and should be a rare drop from a RLS Black hole station (new upgraded version of the XRP Warp Station) where the Scientists of the RSL do experimental weapon recearch, try to summon back the Prejorans and other alien races to whipe out all life in the galaxy and what other things Evil Scientists with to mutch spare time do ![]() the idear here is not realy the actual weapon, but but the prinsiple that we could use a few ship modules that increase in power as you add more decks to your ship |

Lets see here... If I hit the damage cap on a SSB how is adding more attack going to help me with the damage cap? One of the many philosophical questions of life.... Big -1 also |

Yeah same, I'd like to see some better defence modules as atm you're almost better off leaving off all defence mods then adding the decks to install them i think that's got to be really wrong.... I agrey with you Fireblade225 in most cases attack is useless against a SSB ship, so huge ships need defence more then they realy need attack the defence version could look something like this..... (based on stats from Trans-Entropy Drive - Mark III (size 102 Defense +820) ( 1 : 8 ratio)) size 400, defence 5000, ( 1 : 12.5 ratio) for a huge ship with 6000 decks and 300 systems installed with an upkeep of 3bil+ pr day that would make it something like Defence = decks /3 + 10 pr ship system installed (6000/3 + 300 * 10 = 5.000) again you can scale it up or down in size, or even make it posible to install 2 of them the basic idear here is still the scaling to your ship size, not the actual module |

Okay so if we are making mods for different ship builds then you won't have a problem with SSBs getting a mod that evens things up for them... I'm thinking a percentage scan boost or hull boost. Big ships have advantages that little ships don't. It works both ways. |

I have no problem with Modules designed for SSB ships, but we actualy have quite a lot of those already Dominion Tri-Blaster (size 17, Attack +310) Cosmic Rail (size 20, Attack +360, Defense +360, Cloak +360, Energy +360) Sniper Drone (size 25, Attack +225, Hull +750) Uldri Wave Ejector (size 20, Attack +180, Cloak +120, Energy +180) Alarri Probability Core (size 20, Defense +270, Cloak +360) Merged DataNode (size 21, Cloak +360, Scan +240) Uldrinan Onxicant (size 20, Hull +720, Cloak +240, Scan +180) Subquantum Tracing Console (size 20, Attack +150, Defense +180, Cloak +180) and the allies, Anubix, AI Assault Drone, Apparitious, Bane Familiar, Bainar, Systems Cracker, Sehrin, Bioship Ally, Solynia, Technician Elite, Trovar Zane, Elite Tracer, Vortov, Hired Mercenary to name a few. try to compair what you get from the standart modules with these, and then ask your self what type of shipbuild benefits most from installing those Take Perfect Syncopated Plating (size 43, Hull +1105), you get get more hull for les space if you get the Sniper Drone + Uldrinan Onxicant for a huge ship already running 5 Perfect Syncopated Plating, a Uldrinan Onxicant is just a nice bonus that maby gives you 1 extra hit before you gets disabled if you are lucky for a SSB ship, that 720 hull for almost no space can make a difrence also any module in the Game can be installed on your ship, no matter what build you are using nothing is preventing a SSB ship from instaling a a power based on number of decks module like the RSL Experintal Gatteling laser if they want to - they just wouldnt realy gain mutch by doing so unless they also add decks to increase it's power all I'm saying is, it would be nice to actualy get a module that benefit huge ships more then SSB ships for a change that would help bring some balance back to PvP combat..... |

Isn't that what almost every mod that's come out in the last 6 months has done? With the insanely high power/deck all the upgradable mods have (along with the % bonus or ability several of them gain at max) the big researched mods are almost useless. For the space of the last researched defense mod you get more def and several hundred extra atk, scan, cloak, and energy for a lower cost. |

As shown in my calculation above SSb builds already have a massive advantage not adding decks even for defence makes almost no difference in ship str that's just not right. |

Lol that post is probably older than my playtime, the GL wiki is written by players and it is not 100% reliable the post in question is dreadfully outdated. |

I'll be the first one to say I'm not a big fan of the whole medal system, but I'd rather see something like a medal called "I want it all" for decks >6500 rewarding a ship defense mod. Something like size 40, defense +150, damcap -10%. |

Since the SSB cap thread is bumped I will bump this. Personally I rather see this more like geminis. Where it has 2-5% chance to deal half you decks in damage in addition to your attack. So say you have 6000 decks you deal 1201 damage (random number) + 3000 damage to a ship when it is activated. It need to be expensive though and be somewhat big so that SSB really can't use this successfully. |
