Post subject:  Hallowed planets (idea)

During the Halloween the bane ships that surround their home worlds (hallowed planets) leave to help steal resources that fuel their ships, however due to lack of guarding the planets lose their instance cloak and appear to be 'scan-able' to any ship fortunate to discover one of these rare worlds.

Hallowed Planet (Mythical)

Lowest resource and Size
Very Massive - One resource 6x mega rich, Others 5x mega rich

Highest resource and Size
Mega Colossal - 19x mega rich all resources

Ways of discovering these worlds -
Artifact Market - 50Gp summons a Bane Jammer on your battle tab, these bane ships are designed to stop other ships from scanning worlds that are owned by the hallow banes. Has a 33% chance to drop the Bane chart which revels ONE hallowed planet the other 67% drops a 3 Alien Star Charts.

Scanning - A few worlds have poor cloak that are owned by the hallow banes that are 'scan-able' however they will be quite hard to find.

EDIT: Increased the price, please beware that getting a mega colossal would be quite rare as you will have another 33% chance it will be that size :P

Yeah, it'd have to be a minimum of 200 a piece.

So at a 1/3 chance, on average 60 GP would give a VM 5x arti to MC 19x arti planet. Considering that a terraformer is 36GP, a QSE is 50GP, and a 5x is at least 2 Terraformers and 2 QSEs (172GP) over any naturally occurring planet, it's at least a third under current prices. Obviously depending on the the likeliness of the 19x MC it becomes even more of a steal for the Bane Jammer buyer as they get planets above the minimum VM 5x.

No, NO, NO..... you shouldn't be able to simply Buy Mega Colossal - 19x mega rich all resources with GP's

what's next then.....

200 GP's for a Dyson x30+ / x30+ / x30+ planet ?
300 GP's for a Chronofield Projector ?

and why stop theire

50 GP's for the Visa Cannon, that automaticaly Kills, raids and critical hack any ship on your scanner for the simpel price of 5 GP's pr kill no energy spendt

At least. lol Even at that I would still buy a few of them. The alien star charts would be very nice as well. lol This will never happen and it shouldn't. Heck even when the star charts where in the game they where never for sell for GP.

I don't hate the idea of new planet types, but I am absolutely against the ludicrously low GP cost... tbh, I'm against them being available for GP at all.
It just seems a ridiculously low cost for such potential gain.

To fit in the price scale of the other GP items, I'd suggest a fair starting price would need to be 1000 CTP, and still have the chance of failure... which people would then complain about.

In short, I really don't like the GP aspect, but think a daily mission chain, perhaps tied in with a special event that offers a chance at new planet types isn't a bad idea at all.

How about a daily mission that requires 5 QSEs and drops one of the NPCs instead? I don't like it being so easily obtained by GP. If it were implemented that way the big GP spenders would have dozens of these planets before the event ended. Making it mission based on an extremely rare artifact (obtainable on the GP Market) would make the mission have a cost of 250 GP (daily) with a 1/3 chance of obtaining these planets. While expensive it is still cheaper (and easier) than making a 6x MR MC from a VL MR planet (316GP).

What if the planets only lasted for the duration of the Hollow's bane events, SO each year during October, you get them back but during the rest of the year they are planet slots that yeild NOTHING!

The only realistic idea would be to drop the resources OR have randomised resources IMO.

So you COULD maybe get a Colossal 15x Arti planet... Or you could flump and get a tiny, sparse mining planet.

what about a mission that use 5-7 qses that is only available on october 31st. after the completion it summons a npc that drops an artifact that has a 5% chance to scan one of these good planets 95% of the time it reverse hacks one of you planets and puts some type of entity on it that just gives xp. the mission would be repeatable 20 times. so by the time you have done the 20 missions you will probably have a planet
