I thought it'd be a cool idea if it were possible for players who're inactive and have elite invincible planets to:

One of the two:

1) Lose their invincibility after the player has been inactive for X amount of time e.g.) a year or something

2) After a certain time limit the inactive player is booted off the planet and thus it has a chance be scanned by anyone.

Let me know what you guys think.

Been suggested many many many times, use the search engine.

-1 always will be, don't even need to say why.

Only way I'd see this even remotely coming into game is if the retiring player uses an option(will be added should this be implemented) which removes the invincibility trait, sets the scan rate of the planet to that of a Natural dyson OR higher, and auto-purges the planet from the player's database (all alerts of the planet will also need to be rendered useless to stop multi-ing)

However, -1 to any time-based loss of invincibility without a "vacation" mode being added first.

I don't think this should happen to inactive players but i can see this working for banned/reset players.

What do you guys think though should there be something done with the inactives who have these gems tucked away gathering dust or no?

No, they have paid for the planets and there is always a chance they may return it will never happen for inactives.

also if you took off the invincability for resets, if someone makes a rift, then resets with someone else having scnned it, other guy rerifts it etc, this continueing till max resources are reached... enabling people to get like 80x arti rifts... big -1

Well for one dan could quite easily enable rifts to become unriftable or have the planet revert back to it's prerifted stats.

true but how many other little things could dan easily do but hasn't? or at least has taken him a while to do.
Besides it sort of defeats the point of it being invincible if at some point it won't be...

Yeah, so what? That guy paid 50$ to get that rift, so he should have the right to keep it.

obviously not over 2 years as Reality transfusers weren't around over 2 years ago...

I have Solynia so played for over 3 years. Defish was the owner before getting banned and we were both in Star Trek at the time.
Ok, if it as you pointed out not over 2 years, it was WELL over 1 year!

And - Sorry but so what if he paid 50 bucks to get that rift, HE CANNOT USE IT is all I'm saying. Why not help out players who spend 10 times that much and play fairly? Do we all not have the right to invade it?!?

Pennsyltucky asked and I have to agree - 1)Lose their invincibility after the player has been inactive for X amount of time e.g.) a year or something.

Not holding my breath but Ulchinn will not be purged

Special ability - If the planet owner of the invincible world has become inactive for over a year then the invincibility can be removed.
Minus effect - Rift planets lose their 15x additional production however keep their rift status

Ooooh another badge set would be sick! And it'd be awesome if wars resulted in badges.... I think it would add a lot to the game for sure... increasing incentive for all players to join a legion and participate in the war which would make it such an epic battle lol

-1... I have a few reasons as to why.
Chronofield Projectors are a reward for players that sticks with the game for two years.

People pay or work for mission dysons and exotics, so no one should just be able to just take one for free or without working to make one him/herself.

Some players might make planets invincible because they don't want to lose them while on a long vacation.

Banned players payed for their invincible planets, NPCd a lot, or stuck with the game long enough to get a Chronofield Projector. Even if they have no use for their invincible planets, they should still keep them.

Invincible means Invincible.
