Fluffy's post reminded Me of an idea I was working on a few years ago. shortly before CRA's formation.

I long new Of How this game was going and people making the same godly ship. Things we all saw in ROO's old days and the dysions wars time. Few people taking on legion nearly impossible to kill and all and all things becoming mirror imagines of each other. Most the info I typed on this was on my Old comp that was errased and lost do to a hardwaer glitch. But I'll Post what I remember.


The idea was Every person Picks a God. The gods that I had things made up for where drawn from Greek and Roman Mytholgy. Picking witch one you want unlocked new ablitys based on the Type of God it was. You only could pick the one. Mars war a war god, givving heave PVP bonuses in new theology, Weapons that had +800 pvp atk, 400 base atk ECt. the over all thing would look like the fallowing. I'm adding a bit more to it as the game has developed in the last 2+ years.

Mares/ areis. I like mars better. , ( Long belief that power is all and to servive you must crush you enemys your people have trained hard, forged by years of combat you receive a 10% PVP atk bonus )

fighting and whining pleases your god , your people gain acess to new Research tiers.

( Hellfire canons upgrade ) base atk 1,000 Gains 500 more atk in pvp. this upgrades your standerd canions.
I also had alot more tech that you can learn. including planet mods, artys to craft/forge ECT






( Draw back ) I came up and thought It was good to hve pro's and con's to this idea.

Ablity- Sacrifice : Your people belive thay must Must give tribute to Mars to gain there blessing, If they donot, NRG regain is haved and all stats are reduced by 10%. ( stress distracets your crew from working properly. ) The sacrifice ablity is a Meter like in the games. You need to keep it from hitting Zero. I always wanted it to be based on player kills. For every player kill you need to kill 1 point of population on a planet. under the sacriface effect. The effect was always in my plans to cost Zero nrg . and reset every 20 hours. to 1 that way you dont lose the bonuses. only on the second day would it hit zero. So every other Day you have to sloughter a planet. Plants Under the effect and being used as sacriface also have there produtcion Haved do to extream terror.

Ablitys- (Blessing Of War! ) After sacrifing 10,000 People your legion gains a 1% atk bonus. Vs all players for 4 hours. Immune to debuffs stacks up to 10 times but only 1 perperson .

I also inteded for each god to have a strengh / weakness. for Mars he was weak Vs Venus, His wife or secrect lover I forget witch. Harming any one of that god caused you to gain the statist effect Vengful wrath, with gave the chance for you to be smitted every time you click atk for the next 4 hours. at the time I was thinking smite would be good as a 400 damage hit or mayber 1% max buff and a 3% chance to be smitted.

I Had mars strong Vs, Nver had who, wanted hades But I think Zuse would be good for Hadies. . But the effect was that when you kill some of of his enemy You gain, Marses Spear. Witch was to be similar to the Badge market. Each god had a badge market and a gift when they do there specal thing. Marses was killing his enemys. but to get a speacl bonus you had to hunt for them.

I had much more then this written up back than general ideas Ill post more if people care for it. Feel free to add what you like.
If we add 12+ gods like this it can help divers the game if theres a lot of containt to it.

while it is an interesting idea, I don't like the idea of population being the modviation, look people deal 20 damage to a planet (most planets) for 5 energy, so 5 energy for 20 ship kills "tax" is not really anything to care about, I think the downsides need to fit the upsides, All yours would do is instead of a invade foot ball it would be an invade foot ball thats also an population sink. that when you become the new owner are expected ot use a cloning pod on

Here are some draw backs that are more realistic, note I am not saying ALL of them but likely some combination of them

Draw back, Church's

your people demand that all planets have churches to honor your god, all planets lose 40% of their space,

Draw back Lack of faith

Many planets as they urbanize begin to lose faith in their gods, after all if these planets have runes of old buildings, maybe god didn't put them their, Any planet that generates 200 artifact points an hour or more has a 1% each day of defecting and you LOSE the planet (everything even the planet on scan)

Draw back WAR IS ALL

to maintain your gods favor you must offer him constant combat and prof of such victory's, This amounts to each day inorder to use any of your god ability/tech you must pay 50 badages any combination. (if you do not you can use any of the gods tech/ability )

Disprove the GODS!

a collective knowledge base of your legions you can contribute research points to it and after collecting (some huge number?) you can disable any one god for 24 hours. (any followers of that god will NOT be able to attack your legion or members of your legion. )

And other planets people who have spent hundreds on in $$$ or £££?

(if you do not you can use any of the gods tech/ability ) That seems unfair, 50 badges is a lot to pay each day, that's 18250 a year!
