Post subject:  New Ships!
I really think it would enhance the game and generate a feeling of progression if players could upgrade the shape/style of their ships. How about an option to select a new ship at certain deck-sizes? (It does seem a bit silly that my ship's gone from 10 decks to 400, and doesn't look any different)! All this would involve is a new picture to put next to your info, but it would feel like more of an accomplishment.

What do other people think?

PS The poll is a bit biased, but that's because I like the idea! :)

As you go on and do other missions you can unlock new ships and then get artifacts that allow you to change your race and profession.

I think he meant your ship to change aspect as it "grows". Which makes a bit of sense, come to think of it.

If you mean the graphic representation of your ship I am all for having some options to change at certain size levels.

That would definitely be cool. It's weird to think they make ships 10 meters long that look exactly the same as a ship 10 kilometers long.

Personally I think a frigate should look completely different than a dreadnaught not just a size increase but different layout as well

yeah i dreadnaught should have (in a sense) more guns protruding more engines command decks AND there should be different looks for your profession not just the same (different looks) for everyone......like ok theres what 6 (starter) races......and each one has six professions...so give each profession 3 different looks of which to choose from.....+1 to this if all you mean is to modify the aesthetic look of the ships....should color change too? like just outlines of it?

I think the original post was just that each different size ship gets a different look, or at least each class (as in, Light Frigate and Heavy Frigate still look the same). I support as much variation as possible though; having different ones for different professions is a really good idea too.

Try looking at the many design threads in the suggestions. There is plenty of cool ideas you can talk about!

but yeah, listen to zophah. there are 2 or 3 other threads out there with alot more ideas and thought out stuff about this.
