XTS-9 and Political Favor are great game mechanics; however, they are (more or less) useless after rank 100. I would really like to see a mission that unlocks a valuable planet artifact (percent increase to a planet stat) that require either of resources. Another mission similar to "XTS-9 Refinement" would also need to be created for political favor.

XTS-9 is now used in a new Legion Mission. The problem is, getting it can cost crew members, so something really needs to be worth it in order to justify the cost of obtaining XTS-9. I don't believe that mission is worth it, but still, that's one other use for it.

I wouldn't mind seeing afew planet buildings maybe the XTS-10 silo as purchasable with xts9? also yes political favor is valueless we need to do something about that.

Both non renewable resources. Like political favor. Which honestly is worthless for any current benefits from having it. If it were renewable like XTS9 it could have a valid use in the economy though. The snark doesn't help here guys.

Anyways... XTS9 is a renewable resource that obviously comes at a cost greater than just energy spent. The fact that there are no repeatable structures tied to it in addition to the fact that there was no use for it after finishing the missions that required it until just recently is kind of ridiculous honestly.

Why create a renewable resource in a games economy but have finite or only extremely rare uses for it? From the standpoint of developing an active trading culture within the game it is honestly... well... don't know how to say it nicely. But it's not good from the design end of things.

Prejoran Tech might not make a lot of sense right now, since they were only involved in that one chain. Of course, I believe Dan mentioned (an extremely long time ago) that they might come back some day. I've always hoped this would be the case, and it could bring back Prejoran Tech and uses for it.

Zolazin debris and prejoran tech have a spot in the special tab so they have as much a right to be used as political favor and xts 9.

Also for people possibly unaware since not everyone is able to build base modules.
Xts 9 and political favor are used to build a few structures.
While highly unlikely people are swapping base structures around, it is possible to run out of political favor.
Some caution when you decide to destroy an embassy.

Zolazin tech could be a resource available to zolazin race.
Perhaps they can find zolazin NPCs then maybe a market like the uldri race is added.
See Serne? Relevant to the overall theme of the original post.

I forgot about them being required for certain base modules.

And yes political favor has repeatable planet structures in addition to the base modules you can make with it causing it to be a resource with actual scarcity which is... a rarity in an online game to be honest.

But until the new LM was discovered any player in game needed at maximum 1400 XTS ever in their play time if they weren't building base modules, and even then only if they wanted to get their XTS-10 Injectors and do the Repair Warp Gate mission. After that there was no reason to do the repeatable for it. Which as I stated before is ludicrous.

As for the Prejoran and Zolazin Techs it is a valid point honestly. How he would go about making either of them acquirable repeatedly and what uses he would give to them though... I honestly don't know.

I would postulate for those however that new mission chains involving each would be required which would likely have to end in a repeatable mission of some sort that while active adds a single Extremely Rare NPC into your pool and a common or uncommon into the pool that drops the techs as well. Upon finding the newly available ER NPC you would either acquire multiple new repeatable(daily?) missions or continuation of the chain that would culminate in you receiving a way(market?) to utilize those techs in a manner that is relevant to the current state of the game.
