Yeah Dan please increase it to 20 please, as when a player starts out a lot of players don't know what's what and how it will impact on the game. If they choose the wrong Race/Profession then starting off with 20 will allow them to switch to one preferred by a more experienced player. They will still be spending the GP obviously. This will help players who can't afford GP to be able to get into the right spot in the game.

There are a couple ways to get free Race/Profession changes already. Every New Year's you can easily get 2, perhaps even more, Sphere of the New Era artifacts, which allow this. A mission in the Zolazin mission chain also rewards players with 3 of The Glaviz Device, which also allow this change.

Yes but why should a player have to rank up a few ranks which is basically ranking too fast if they are going for the Glaviz. And what if the players join after the new years, they would have to wait another year before they could get the sphere. Seriously another 10 GP isn't going to hurt Dan especially when they will spend it so Dan will get paid anyway. I'm not going to boot a sillix, i will help him improve his ship, but i do know a lot of legions that would boot a sillix.

I feel like this would increase the risk of alts taking advantage of the free GP to buy then sell arties from the GP market ex) storage towers

That is a good point; right now they can't buy anything of consequence that is easy to send, but at 20 GP they could buy a storage tower, which is sendable.

Not enough of a reason to shoot down the idea necessarily, but certainly something to consider.

The reason it is 10 is to prevent multi abuse this would crash the prices of towers it's not hard to make a facebook account i reckon you could make 20-30 in an hour without to much issue so in 3-4 hours you'd have 100 storages which at the moment is atleast 70k ctp.

And while i'd love the price to come down (as i'm sure many others would) this suggestion wont be implemented for that reason alone.

Dan could very well add a 1-2 week medal that rewards a racial change arti and maybe 2 planet abandon arti. Newbie will probably know better by then and being artifacts they do not cause any problems for the game.
The mechanic can be same as the 1/2/3 year ones, so it wont be hard to add.

I agree. We need to have more GP for all the new multis

You have 10 go which most players spend on the wheel(terrible mechanic that should be removed), you can use those 10 gp to abandon 2 planets and if you need to change races then reset, a few months of prior knowledge could only help. Increase gp = multis
