IDEA - CT Lab item or Daily Mission with Toxic Purifier ...

I'll try to make this short: Would be nice if Toxic Purifier artifacts could be used in CT Lab or in a Daily Mission, to turn them into something that ... Permanently increases the mineral output on a planet by 1, up to a maximum of 15x Mega Rich. Scrap Value(ea): 12500 - 50000 And call it something like ... Purifier of the Elements? Planet Mineral Optimizer? Planet Mineral Purifier? Non-Toxic Purifier??? Maybe???

hmm. So a daily mission that takes at least 5 clicks for completion, uses at least 1 purifier for each click, then gives 1 artifact that is half as efficient as the original? Or a ct lab item that would use the same or more purifiers to make a single less efficient item? Please put down the crack pipe before you do something that might actually hurt yourself or someone.

I think his point is to use it on a bigger planet. Certainly a C 15x is worth more than a 16x VL, the question is, by how much.

Um, no. Since this one can be used on any planet, not just a toxic or irradiated planet, -- it'd be very much worth while to up the mining on existing planets. Check the Toxic Purifier's limitations before you throw around useless insults. Also, the prettiness of 15x/15x/15x aside - avid NPCers have hundreds and thousands of Toxic Purifiers - they cannot occupy enough Toxic planets to use all those purifiers, but increasing mining on existing planets would at least be of some use.

CTLab would be a bad idea, if only because this is a rather "useless" artifact, as compared to what we expect from a CTLab design. I doubt people would be pleased to get this instead of something like the concord station or resonance inhibitor.
Now, A Daily Mission that costs 500 energy per click, 5 rounds per completion, and rewards 0xp, that could work.
I doubt many would use it, but for those who do like a 15/15/15 world(and i know they're out there) it is a somewhat appealing idea.

It would allow for that or for the ability to make Colossal 15x mineral worlds. I'm not saying i like the idea, but i know people that would use the artifact, therefore it would have a use and the idea has some merit to it.

Ok, so we use 10x as many purifiers to get the same production? Yeah, you can balance out productions on a planet. Big woop. You get 200 or so points as a secondary production instead of 750 off a dedicated toxic? And colossal mining planets? I own 3 and have a 4th scanned (not counting my mission dyson), so we can already make them.
Explain to me again why we need this.

Explain to me again why we need this. the more efficient you can make each planet, the better. that said, i do not want to see something like this completely devalue the Mylarai race (seeing as I will still be a Mylarai for another few months to finish even.ing up my project planets). a daily mission would work ... make it parallel the purger mission with an EM requirement. the more flexible 'mining purifier' would give a 1x mining richness boost to barrens, volcanics, and Chthonians (the most unloved planet types by my reckoning). the purifier could give 2x mining richness increase per purifier if it is used where the mining richness is NOT the maximum ... that is, the planet has higher or equal arti / research richness. positives: uses up stockpiles of toxic purgers, gives some meagre loving to barrens and volcanics, helps the planet optimizers negatives: DF's seal of disapproval (though some might say that is a positive lol), MORE EM ???? lol, devalues Mylarai race

What's the point of using it on other planets if the limitation is going to be the same 15x? The way i see it, it would be much easier to just max out 3 toxics.

I dont realy see the point in this artifact
if you want a x15/x15/x15 planet, all you realy have to do is even out the scores with Tribute of the Stars / data optimizers (recearch), Tribute of the elements (mining) and Tribute of the acients / Taltherian Urbanize ability (artifact) before you take it to x15/x15/x15 with Terraforming Devices
if you didnt do that, and still want it to be x15/x15/x15 you can always go Myralai/ Taltherian and use the race ability
