The dilemma for modules has continuously been getting worse lately as they become less and less valuable for those nearing rank 9999.
What I propose is a way to keep these modules from becoming dust and a nuisance when it comes to upkeep.
In order to keep the shelf life of these every module, there must be some way to keep them upgraded without breaking the game and giving everyone a chance to grow stronger in their own ways. Besides, we already have plenty of modules that are already upgradeable, but will eventually lose their shelf life if they don't have a % overall boost or scans and cloaking.
THE IDEA
We need some new artifacts in our artifact production pulls to balance the rate of getting rescued prisoners, helmsmen, durtanium brackets, and x charge cells.
My idea is to have a new artifact called an "Alien Tech Enhancer" that can be obtained from pulling 75,000 artifact points. This artifact boosts any ship module (excluding charge rate modules) by 1% at random.
It can increase its boost by 1% if a person with 1,000+ medal points uses it.
It can increase its boost by another 1% if the person who uses it is over Rank 1,000.
If a person has played galaxy legion for 1 year or more, there will be another 1% boost.
The Alien Tech Enhancer can be bought off the market for 10 GP once a week.
Lastly, this artifact can be scrapped for 50 CTP.

Sure, as long as the modules don't lose their value. Everyone will definitely grow differently for the amount of Alien Tech Enhancers they use because it randomly upgrades any module you have on your ship.

okay I think it should take alot more artie points to pull one, as people with extremely high artie production can just get a bunch in a day. also it should only upgrade to a point of 100%, and it should give like 50 ctp when scraped. just ideas

Perhaps it should require energy to use as well. (FIXED)

I don't like the upkeep going up bit. Maybe if decreased the moduals size.... but just increaseing stats no dice.

A decrease in size for upgrades would not make sense at all logically. Besides the end game damage cap is 5009 for rank 9999 players. That is 10018 decks. Increasing upkeep slightly with each upgrade makes mineral production more significant. Artifact production will have benefits from mineral production if this artifact exists.

Yes but all that does is preserve the status quo. My alternative is these upgrades cost a constant reserch an hour drain on your reserch income.

I'm not trying to make the new artifact more complex than it needs to be in the long run. The artifact would definitely benefit researched modules and other modules. It's much better for Dan to code galaxy legion by combining the scripts he already has with havoc coils and merged datanode to make the Alien Tech Enhancer.
