For those pure production planets you really don't care if you lose or actually hope someone will take. Would work best as a ct-lab design or LM task reward.

Flag of Surrender-This flag signifies a planet's population is crying out to be liberated from it's oppressors.
Size: 1
Effect: +2 to all resources, marks the planet in enemy scan logs with a new white flag. Cannot be placed with any attack, population, or defense structures. Cannot be placed on planets with over 500 passive cloak. Upon invasion the planet is automatically removed from the former owner's scan log.

Maybe instead of 'cannot be placed with any attack, def, or pop', it grants -100% att, def, and pop ?
Upon invasion, the white flag should be automatically removed, too.

Seems like a good idea. +1

I can see the next post will be :

If you want your planet to be taken, just don't put any def or att or pop on it.

I'll +1 this too.

I blue-flag any planet I plan to abandon (unless anyone invades them before then.)

Of course though, I hope to remove valuable structures with Mylarai extractors first, but I'll have less regrets about missing them on planets I don't care to have anymore. - Asheron

+1 IF... this artifact doesn't act as some cheap star chart purger gimmick. It should never purge..... the idea of this artifact saying "take me please" to anyone who is kind enough to take a planet off your hands SHOULD be enough... to make you happy not to have to start abandoning planets.

-1 because even with the suggested above... people who abandon planets would NOT be purchasing the GP to abandon what they normally would.

Score = 0 (that's a Zero folks as the pro's and cons.... kind of cancel each other out making me conclude "me" unless of course it isn't made to be OP or the cost is extreme to ensure it's not going to be a viable alternative to the star chart purger.

Summery: The idea has great potential if adjusted to be balanced in concert with the other artis or effects on the GP market it could have.

If it's not purged immediately after the invasion, then the original owner might take it back due to the disappearance of the flag, or just trolling anyone who might invade it :P
