instead of forcing us to buy out all the EM in the galaxy at insane prices, make a new mission such as-

Exotic Emergence
Energy required - 150
XP rewarded - 120
Rounds per completion - 10
Reward per completion - 1000 Exotic Matter

this will allow us to trade our stacks of leftover energy for a lil more EM to make us more self sufficient and less reliant on merchants.

sorry if its not very imaginative or descriptive, but EM has become drastically rare now, to the point if i dont have enough EM for the only legion mission my race or whatever will allow, its like 2K ctp worth of freakin' EM! id rather burn a cube.
when i started playing exotic matter was practically inert, it didnt have a price per se, if you could get anything of value in return for exotic matter you were lucky!

I agree with Shrub. For the longest time, everyone has been AP/TO whores, tossing out cheap-cheap Toxic upgrades. Now, there's a need for EM (and energy apparently). If you want to do all the stuff, adapt your ship and productions to meet your needs.

yep ... no more giving away maxed toxics for free ... they have to be EARNED now

Here's another plan:

1. NPC for Toxic Purifiers
2. Make a bunch of maxed toxic planets
3. ???
4. (EM) Profit!

Yeah EM is not scarce u just need more mining planets. That said, I am, however, in support of a repeatable mission that rewards EM

valid points, well stated, however even with 4x my current mining output i'd still be pretty worse for wear. do you see any concievable downside to self sufficiency in the exotic matter market? i'd rather not have to buy loads of toxics either, considering im allready upgrading all the toxics i can.

Probably been mentioned somewhere before but how about Exotic planets producing Exotic matter in addition to the other resources or something along those lines.

Also another way could be having the exotic planet buildings able to produce exotic matter once upgraded by Raix is another suggestion

None of those things forces you to use exotic matter.
Why is it that people always have this feeling of entitlement that if a feature exists they must be able to do it?
If you are short on something, it's your own problem, deal with it.

And insane price my *beep*, each CTP is still worth 150+ EM on average right now. way way way way back in the day, it was 100. It haven't even gotten back to that yet, so it's most certainly still within acceptable range.

idk who you're trading with, but every post on trade groups of late has been at 125em:1ctp or 100em:1ctp.

That said, agreed. Want more EM, add more mining. I added 30k additional mining in the last few weeks, since i got Solynia. It cost me around 7 trilion credits, but at least i'm getting more EM.

haven't really traded XD, just flipped through the trade and that was the price i saw on a few posts... heh....
