Currently, the only thing battle pacts do is enable you to invite people to join base attacks. Most legions load themselves up with trade pacts and then swap them out for battle pacts when they need them. I would like to see active battle pacts add to the defense of a base or, as an alternative, a base ability that would incorporate battle pacts the way that Trade Route does with trade pacts. |

Allied Aegis Boosts base shields by 1% for each pact you have with other legions that are 2+ weeks old. Lasts 4 hours. Costs: 2 Ability Points Dan could create something similar to the above for the next base mod he creates. Something like Pact Alliance Boosts base defense by 1% for each battle pact you have with other legions that are 2+ weeks old. Boosts base ??? by X% for each Non Aggression Pact you have with other legions that are 2+ weeks old. Lasts 4 hours. Costs: Y Ability Points |

Having a few steady bp can hurt our income. |

i am not a fan of battle pact swapping ... it does have value, but not as much as a loyal active member. an extra loyal active member adds 1.90% to our base production, while an extra trade pact adds 1.45%. so, if you do not have full membership, filling up those member slots gives you more bang for your effort. to my mind, if you only maintain a couple battle pacts, or are in a less-active legion, i don't think the swap is worth the hassle, but once you get up to 5 battle pacts, then the production boost from the swap moves up to 7.69% which is significant. of course, if the re.swap is not done efficiently, you lose out on the base alerts ... Costs: Y Ability Points i think Tree's idea would definitely add value for those who decide to keep ongoing battle pacts and would compensate for the lost production, so +1. i find NAPs to generally be useless tho, so maybe the battle pacts should each add 1% to base attack, while each NAP would boost base defense by 5% ? |

Agree with all this. It rewards legions who maintain a stable battle group rather than those who shuffle pacts daily to obtain bases from various legions and shuffle in order to get the extra few % production. It wouldn't prevent it completely though, a trade pact could be switched temporarily to a battle pact for a single base battle but the ongoing % bonus would be unaffected. As for NAP, maybe 2% hull? |
