Quick and easy suggestion Dan.

Once a mission has been archived i.e. Raix Chain and Trovar Chain, remove the daily completion requirement.

It seems a bit redundant for them to remain as such, and would make players wanting to complete the chain, play more.

Removing it would reduce the speed you can level at least one of your allies.

Plus thumbs down because it is nice to give people a reason to log in daily...

I should have distinguished. Stand alone Dailies like Klorvis and Hosting the summit should remain Daily.

Also just to be devils advocate (and an argument used in past debates) older players had far fewer Daily missions available to them when they were ranking Sehrin, shouldn't the up and coming players have it on an even keel?

As it stands, with all the Dailies available, that ally can be ranked in 16 days... That seems a little bit too easy to me.

Edit: I forgot to cover the log in daily aspect. I know I would log in more and play longer if those missions weren't daily. As it is, many days I will log in, dump resources, do the dailies, then log off until tomorrow/turtle up and don't interact with the game

I like that idea. I think it's now possible to rank seh'rin up what, 9 times per day?

I might be missing a few, but from the ones I can see it would be 6 times a day.

If it is 9 then you can rank it in 12 days (11 days to 99 though) which is even more ridiculous...

Let's see:

Regional science summit
klorvis
alarri
uldrinan
raix
holiday missions?

Is this what you had counted?

This isn't a bad idea, but I wouldn't agree with having the daily component removed as soon as it was Archived, maybe leave it daily for something like 30,60, or 90 days after being Archived, then remove the daily limitation.

Personally I would say two weeks would be long enough if any daily element needed to stay, but I can see what you mean. Definitely think 60 & 90 periods are too long though.

Leave the daily aspect as is.

Person A makes the effort to do all the missions in the chain from day 1 in hopes of the reward being nice.

Person B slacks off and decides to wait to know what the end rewards are. Person B shouldn't get the option of just plowing through the chain in an hour after person A spent months working on it.

I'm a person B.

+1.

the issue that sehrin can be ranked up 'faster' by those doing it now versus when it came out ... aint an issue. the more recent dailies have much higher energy and xp costs ... if someone wants to go to that extra effort to get the ally sooner, more power to them. me, i have enjoyed the benefit of the sehrin ally for months now and forcing newer players to slog thru provides no additional benefit to me.

Sehrin, Bioship Ally
Rank: 100
Type: Biological Attack +238
Defense +238
Hull +447
Scan +149
Energy +149

Who really cares if someone gets this turd an ally sooner?

For me, the issue of ranking Sehrin quicker is largely irrelevant.
I am completely against the idea of essentially changing the entire nature of some missions and time taken for chains like Raix.

They should take as long for the last person to do them as they did for the first.

Edit: Of course, players who wait until the missions are archived already get a considerable benefit in time taken:
They don't have to wait a couple of days for the release of each new Chapter and they don't have to wait a couple of weeks for the final Chapter.

I'm fine with that, but believe removing the daily aspect as well would simply be unfair.
