Hey all, I was thinking... Why not have some kind of "Bazaar" in GL where people can put up planets and artifacts for sale, then whoever bids the most on it wins. This should alleviate the cash crunch the higher levels have, while opening up some nice planets and artifacts for the low levels to catch up on. To make it fair, the player selling the planet should be able to turn down bids they don't want. So if the winning player is in a legion that is at war at the planet owner's legion, the planet owner can refuse to sell to that player he's at war with. Ditto for personal vendettas and the like. Thoughts? Discussion? |

I say it's a good idea, but the ability to turn down bids individually can lead to people giving planets away to a single person (by removing all other bids). So I'd say all or nothing: either they accept the highest bid or they rescind their offer. |

This Bazaar can also involve bidding on rare artifacts. Even NPC drops or the elusive Planet Flux. Thats what black markets are for, thus the Bazaar and bidding. |

I like this idea, certainly the ability to buy certain mission items would be nice, but I fear that I would always be priced out of the market by bigger players. |

There could be level brackets to address this issue. (Artifact bidding) Bracket 1: Rank 1 - 50 Bracket 2: Rank 51 - 150 Bracket 3: Rank 151 - 300 Bracket 4: Rank 301+. For planets, would be interesting to have two level ranges bid. If a low level finds a nice planet, he could get some nice artifacts or credits in exchange for it. Or a high level has more planets than he can colonize and could make some cash off selling these extra planets to afford the high end ship modules. Stuff like that. (Planet bidding) Bracket 1: Rank 1 - 150 Bracket 2: Rank 151+ |
