So I've several concepts that have been buzzing round my head for a while and have decided to put them out there for everyone to comment on and most hopefully dan to read and impliment (maybe)

Daily tasks- Like Legion missions but for one player only

Legion missions are near uncontestably gls greatest addition over the past couple of years. The fact that they are unpredictable, what comes up next?! and have very nice rewards, often requiring you to do different parts of the game to just clicking a button 30 times to complete the mission for the day. I see daily tasks as very like this, encouraging the player to get involved with different bits of the game and allowing the best addition to gl for a while to be built on.

Example tasks

Governmental Assignment (unlocked apon rank 10) resets every 24 hours
Randomly assigns each day one of:
    Cull Enemy faction (One of Crimson blades, Rogue Science League, Dark smugglers, Styrll order, 25% each)50% occourance

- The (FACTION NAME) have been blighting our terrortory for too long, assist in their removal.
Kill 25 (FACTION NAME) common ships
Reward: 3 Influence badges
    Conduct military exercises 50% for konqual, 0% for arelen, 25% for other races
-The (PLAYER RACE) Government belives strongly in a military deterant as means of protecting our civilians, conduct a military drill
dissable 10 enemy players and use a mark of might on their ship (0 energy)
Reward: 3 Influence badges
    Fortify boarders 50% for arelen, 0% for Konqual, 25% for other races
- In response to the increase in conflict on our boarders you are tasked with locating suitable spots for improving fortifications to ensure the protection of our terrotory,
- Scan 10 planets and place Concord markers on them (0 energy)
Reward: 3 Influence badges

Ally provided tasks
Example
Expansive minds: Unlocks upon senerin rank 100
Once every 72 hours Assigns one of:
Advancment of science
- Provide 500,000 research points to quench senerins apatite for knowlage
Alternate views
Hack research from players of 5 different races

Both reward: (suggest something)

Legion mission provided bonus tasks

Example
Clandestine operations (carjean)
Keep cloak above 5000 for the entire duration of the legion mission
Reward: (suggest something)

EDIT: a idea for the designing of the feature which just got made

I like the idea of daily tasks. +1

Could tie in with the idea of racial governments, too. For this, Dan should just write a huuuuuuge list of different possible tasks, with varying difficulties and rewards, perhaps in the form of a new kind of badge? Or alternatively Political Favour and then GIVE POLITICAL FAVOUR AN ACTUAL USE. Even if it is just that Dan opens up a new market like we have the Raix market.

This is a great idea. Tasks don't even need to be that challenging as long as they encourage people to log in every day.

Potential for 5th slot in daily market to be provided by a ally received and ranked through daily assignments

Side note, never realized how crazily hard it is making things look pretty
Also: potential for timed assignment slot to be unlocked at 1500 medal points and one at 2000 (giving medal points more of a purpose to get the more difficult ones rather than just riding the easy ones to the latest medal point required item/ally

Love the new diagram :)

I prefer the 2nd option : Daily Task is laid just like the Seasonal Mission, on top of the mission list.

And the idea about rotating market is great! A good chance for Dan to generate more GP sales : re-roll market option, once a day, for those who don't like their current market items :)
And the deal can only be bought once per day, so there will be room for more upgradable mods!

yeah I think the seconds a better idea too. legion mission task works cause theres only one every 3 days, timed would be more and would be a pain having to go through the interfaces to get to it probably.

Hadnt thought of a reroll market option but it sounds like a good idea. rerolls the whole market for maybe 5-10 gp, greyed out after one reroll or a purchase is made.
