I know there have been a lot of requests for legion bases/planets, and this is kind of along those lines.

I was thinking why not have a one level tech tree that costs an large amount of research to complete, something around what it would cost for the the last level of a research tree and what it gives you is this

+5 to energy recharge so long as you are guarding it
+5 to shield recharge when you are guarding it

and every so often you can obtain an energy cube from it. maybe every 5-10 levels or so. or maybe through some other means, such as bringing enough complex tech part and dropping them off for the scientists to use. say, 200 or so.

Interesting idea. Although using something like tech parts to gain energy cubes would need to be scaled with rank as higher ranks are able to bring in more tech parts, meaning that they would get more energy cubes making a bigger gap in ranks between high and low levels.

+1 ya if you where to use tech parts for that it would need to scale by rank. I am rank 577 and have close to 9K complex parts. So while I would love to see more uses for it something that good for that cheap would not be worth it. I would say for around my rank at least 10K for an energy cube because they are very valuable and should cost a lot to get.
