Ok, so we have all noticed how hard it can be for us to communicate with new trainees, right? Why not add something into the tutorial of the game that makes them aware, or maybe use the legions comms? Sometimes they are just totally unaware they even exist, or find it hard to notice.

In my (and probably many other people's) experience, the trainees are much more likely to stay if they are able to talk to the members of the legion they end up in, because we are able to further introduce them into the game, and give them help/advice etc.

+10 I agree fully.
I found that if a trainee starts interacting with players then they are more likely to stay active.
Unfortunately most trainees logoff before interacting with players and thus have little incentive to login again.

I agree, that'd be great.

I make it a point to try to leave a message on their comms to tell them about the chat feature as soon as they join, but don't think I've had any actually use it yet.

Lets be honest, Most new players don't even read or go through the Tutorial, its too easy to skip. I actually didn't know that robot was the tutorial .... since it looked so stupid .
i doubt this will do anything.
If someone doesn't realize the chat within the first 2 days of being in a legion, i doubt they'll be active long.

I wouldn't worry about somebody sticking around if they were here for 2 days.

The problem is getting them to stay past the first 10 minutes and not quit the game.

Exactly this. They hardly ever make it past the first few minutes.

so much this. At academy we only ever see two types of trainee. those who play for maybe 5 10 minuets at most and then never even revisit the game after that and those who play much more and visit it daily and realy get into the game. the sad thing is that without promting from legion the games very daunting for someone with no idea of it and their likely to quit. if the legion can get in early then they can vastly improve the odds of trainees staying which is good, both towards getting this dang pedagogo hub and for the game.
