Recently I accidentally clicked the button to skip the mini challenge of the Elios daily and spent 6 GPs. Took a while to get my refund. I think there should be a confirmation for GP purchases like this - the artifact market should have one, and maybe the button to purchase more auction or bid slots should have one. Pretty much anything that requires you to spend GP. The abandon colony has a checkbox so one doesn't accidentally abandon a planet...so why can't the other places where you have to spend GPs have some sort of confirmation so you don't accidentally spend GPs? Sure, you can get a refund, but it's still better that it can be prevented in the first place.

At least give one for the mini challenge ......

it be a good idea for that way then there no excuse for people to be requesting a refund on gp spent as then there the excuse of why did you confirm your purchase if it was a mistake click

Please, for the love of people with some degree of eye-hand coordination: No, at least not in the artifact market.
If I want something I click on it, that is the confirmation. Extra steps are just annoying for other people.
If you mis-click for some reason, refunds are available, as I know from personal experience, so the price you pay for your mistake is having to wait a little bit.
To me, that system is way better than making everyone else wait and adding a redundant level of confirmation for each and every purchase.

I'm not sure exactly how you managed to accidentally skip the challenge, but even then you obviously got a refund.

Problem, there, is even WITH confirmation clicks, people request (and are granted) refunds of limited items. I don't expect GP use would be any different.
