I have seen many high level players post that they are out of content and bored and I always have scoffed at them. Unfortunately I am about to join them. I have burnt out my excitement by blasting through NPCs as a Drannik, killing and raiding as a Konqul, so on and so forth.
We need some content, even if its a long and difficult grind like a faction reputation implementation. I understand this has been brought up in several different capacities. But I think there should be tiered awards for massive killing of npcs. It could follow the standard format. You have a neutral reputation as a first standing to Friendly, Honored, Revered, Exalted. Those of you who have played WoW will understand. It could reward everything from ship modules, to planet locations scaling with the amount of reputation needed.
Obviously, this is only one suggestion, I am open to just about anything (beggars cant be choosers).
I truly appreciate everything Dan and the developers have created and I fully understand the ramifications of the power-leveling I have created for myself (ie. I would have plenty to do if I hadnt rushed through it). This is an incredible game, but nearly every player over 500 has completely run out of things to do.

+1 . Agree! I'm basically burned out from GL all thanks to lack of high-end content that it nolonger holds my interest. High end content is way too much repetitive. No real missions to do.. PVP is same old same old but same over and over again on daily basis.. NPC bosses are shrinking as we get older and they are 1-D type of encounter without any complications at all.. What else to do? GL needs more contents badly especially more colorful time-sink and more varieties that would take long time to achieve something but not too dull or boring.. Need more creative ideas into GL.. Introducing star base system into legion that gives legion ability to level up to expand star base deck size along with brand-new research star base trees to support it would be good. Introduce legion vs legion wars (more advanced than current PVP) along with its own legion PVP stats that can be used in leaderboard. Introduce legion-only missions that no one single person can complete but require a team effort to achieve it.. Introduce more advanced, tier-based NPC encounters like a truly raid approach.. So go on..

Different types of badges will be rewarded for various PvP activity, and can be spent on a variety of things, as well as unlock items unique to the types of badges collected. More details will be provided in the coming weeks.

hooray!!! my savage combat rep might award me a decent planet or some EPIC MODULES!!! im hoping this happens by at least the end of march.
wait, will our current exploits reward us, or is all the PvPing we've done so far gone to waste?

Do I get a badge for getting to 6K energy ?  5k energy challenge, Reward: some unique "mission reward" style passive item that removes all relay/weapon/other max energy penalties so you never have to switch them off (or forget to) again.

from what dan said it looks like its just pvp. hence the name COMBAT badges. im hoping you can buy terraformers and QSEs tho. that would be cool....

Nice! I hope it'll be good in practice as it seems to be on paper.. It should make PVP action little more interesting than now..

Ok I just read all of this and I like a lot of the ideas brought up and I hope most get implemented in the game but as a rank 641 right now I'm noticing that I lost out on the Lazuli Titans which drop the ship upgrades and the Renegar Lazuli ships that drop the Pylons with + 600 invasion defense and the Refinery ships that drop the items that give attack to our Volcanic and Gas planets etc. I joke with the guys that we're getting punished for spending money on the game but it's not really a joke. I know that Dan didn't expect us all to rank up this fast or plan to make new ships to replace the ones that we no longer are able to see. We really need new NPC ships. I'ts gets boring after rank 600 and I know for a fact that there are guys purposely not ranking in fear of losing the Titans and Refinery ships after they rank to 601. The main ships we looked for forward to was the Titans and Queens. Thank God we still have the Queens to get the energy from but the excitement of the Titan ship drop upgrades is gone. Who wants to lose something that we all need and want at any rank ? I honestly don't want to rank up fast but I do want to kill NPC's to get the rare drops but it just happened while doing it Something needs to be done about it.

I'm thinking some of the npcs should drop other things like the punisher rescued prisoners sense we no longer get that little ship that use to drop them. Stalars add xcharges, Hives either add energy sacks or add duraniam brackets. xrps add a minor scientist. Hypergrids might have that building but not everyone will want that. Just some thoughts and yea a new titian would be awesome.
