When we encounter one of the Non-player super ships; and disable it; I realize there is an experience point award and typically a limited edition type of weapon and such. As you would have for any "real battle" and you disable a ship; you "keep what you kill" mentality and can "raid" the ship. We can currently "Raid and Hack" player ships with additional energy expenditures and proper ship upgrading with scanners and the like. What I would also like to see if possible is additional rewards for this type of ship being "cargo bounty" such as awarded additional energy cubes additional artifacts -- normal types additional minerals multiple weapon system types multiple shield types various other ship upgrades, energy generators, ect. These would be available for the "raiding" after it is disabled; basically what would realistically be found in the cargo bays of such a type of ship and the type of weapons, shields, ect, that would be encountered on such a level type ship. Conditions to acquire ANY of the bounty is that YOUR OWN cargo hold must be of sufficient size and available space to hold any of the "raided" bounty from artifacts to weapons or any other bounty acquired. Raiding of such could use the same energy expenditure for player attacks for hacks and raids; with the exception that on the super ships for non-player ships; it should be changed from "Disabled" to "Destroyed" and additional energy expenditures should be put into place for any of the tech level equipment acquired. To acquire the components of any "Destroyed" ship; would also take significant energy resources such as a "weapons" upgrade would require "50" points of energy to "remove from the destroyed ship"; and other component upgrades are operated the same way. If there are any "technology" differences such as between a variety of races which may be deemed "Incompatible"; this could also require some additional "Research" points as well as additional "energy" requirements to achieve. So, another tab to "install weapons" would take "200 points of Research and 100 energy" and the use of the acquired weapon would be available. IE; a super ship had upgraded shielding above what the attacking ship(s) "shields" and and have a size of "62" and would require the raiding ship to have this much additional room in their bay to acquire as well as the room on the decks of the ship to install; in addition to any energy resources this would require as the same as installing a "new" item. Also, in addition; any of the "participating" legion members will also have access to the "coordinates" of the disabled "super Ship" so they may also participate in the additional cargo and ship bounty. Basically, limited to the "top 3" people involved in the attack and disabling of this type of super ship. |

This is already being represented by the artifact drops that boss NPCs generate. |
