 Terraforming Tech Chain (unlockable tiers)

It would be cool to have a terraforming tech chain based on the missions players have completed.

All 'techs' would be shown upon unlocking the chain, but you can only invest in the ones you have 'completed' via missions or research.

Conversion techs (no size increases from 'player terraforming' which distinguishes it from artifact conversions -- terraformed planets would become immune to artifact terraforming via ice melters etc. (still quasiable) to prevent exploiting -- bonus resources would also need to be capped at +15 or whatever they are above that prior to terraforming)

Tier 1 Terraform techs: (each conversion requires 500 exotic matter and 250 energy)

Volcanic to Barren (+1 resources) -- 500,000 rp (new mission required)
Toxic to Barren (+1 resources) -- 500,000 rp (new mission required)
*Barren to Icy (+1 resources) -- 500,000 rp (requires the mission that provides barren to oceanic artifacts)

Tier 2 Terraform techs: (each conversion requires 1000 exotic matter and 500 energy)
*Icy to Oceanic (+1 resources) -- 750,000 rp (appropriate mission finished required)
**Desert to Crystal (+1 resources) -- 750,000 rp (appropriate mission finished required)

Tier 3 Terraform techs: (each conversion requires 1500 exotic matter and 750 energy)
*Oceanic to Terra (+1 resources) -- 1,000,000 rp (new mission)
Gas planet to Lesser Dwarf Star (+3 research) -- 1,000,000 rp (new mission)
Metallic to Hard Metallic or Solid Metallic (+1 resources) -- 1,000,000 rp (new mission)

Tier 4 Terraform techs: (each conversion requires 3000 exotic matter and 1500 energy)
*Terra to Gaia (+1 resources) -- 1,500,000 rp (appropriate mission required)
**Crystal to Diamond or Gemstone (+1 resources) -- 1,500,000 rp (new mission)

metallic should turn into molten and then sentient
crystal into silicon matrix and then living shard ( some passive storage bonus)

Make a Very Massive Toxic planet x15
Terraform in a Very Massive Barren x16
Terraform in a Very Large Icy x17
Sulfter in a Mega Collossal Oceanic x19
....
And finish with a Mega Collossal Gaia x21

Awesome planet, too easy to get

Yes nice idea, I like terraforming concept in the Master of Orion serie, but I don't think it really good put in like that in Galaxy Legion.

a rather interesting take on an energy/rp sink that higher levels are asking for. im sure baltar would love this to require energy, and im sure kaos would love this to require rp.

although i dont see how barren is a step up from volcanic or toxic.

A Huge shoot of Mr. Clean on a Toxic planet, Toxic disapear :P.

For the Volcanic in a Barren, hummm a Ice age like the movie " The day after tomorow ".

i would have thought toxics would evolve into exotics, and volcanics would evolve into obsidian or desert.
