Just an Idea that may help balance the baiting game. The whole point of Cloak is to remain hidden right? So along with this my thought is when hacking not to notify the ship of who they were hacked by unless its a failed hack vs their scan. this will make both cloaking and scanners more important and cut down on people posting everyone they get hacked by unless they fail of course. the point of cloaking is stealth and i beleive this would add an interesting element to the game and maybe help balance the baiting that goes on.

Just my two cents on an idea to make the game more interesting. would add a great new aspect to game play.

More interesting and technically more correct. If your skilled with a high lvl of cloak/scan/hack, how is it correct that your noticed bye your target during a successful hack? I definitely agreed with ISC on this... ;)

So if your cloak is better than the scan of anybody on you battle tab, you get free rein to pillage them all with no retribution? Might as well say Ship #1s attack is better than Ship #2s attack so there's no point in the second guy even being allowed to attack the first.

One word came to mind when I read the original post... Unbalanced...

well its not as simple as that who's cloak is better than scan. it would have to work on a % number or a ratio of cloaked/hacking ship vs the scan of the other ship. we have all failed hacks before and that should be an automatic you know who it was. I am sure there is a way to work it in so it is not unbalancing for example if your cloak vs their scan is even then a 50% chance of getting away with them not knowing. Again this is just a thought on adding another aspect to the game.
