Just an idea to add a little more scanning power. Having structures you can build on a planet to add to the scanning power of your ship, but only work if your ship is guarding the planet. Dont have any idea if it would work well to have it add for defence against hacks or not. Just thinking of the hubble space telescope type of idea since scanners have such a high upkeep. It could also be a use for the larger but resource lacking planets, unless that is imbalancing, then just dont let gas planets have em. Feel free to rip apart the idea now
