There IS a way to rename a planet but it would cost GP. Personally I dislike this. I guess it is that way to keep from having 500 tatooines (
) in the galaxy. I would support a drawable arti for renaming.

Is there a way we can rename the planets, or even subtitle them for easier classification. So it can keep its Alpha Chi II status, and then underneath it, it could be Mox's Haven It could look like Alpha Chi II (Mox's Haven) I get confused which planet is which sometimes. If there is already a way to rename the planet, just disregard this. |

No harm in resurrecting a thread if it remains relevant. I like the idea of having sub-texts for planet names. I'd also like to have a planet comm as well, so you could speak to the owner of any planets you find. |

well Commonwealth it was only on page 7 on the forum. and honestly i think that would be kinda fun being able to do the sub-text and name your own colony, one, to make the planets more customizable and two, to make them more personal if someone snatches it. i mean, if i named a colony, Karvixs summer home, and somebody snatched it, id go get it, compared to Rovas III, which i could care less. |

The 'Planet Name Contract' is already an artifact available in the artifact market. |

well Dan im not talking about a planet name Contract, b/c not everyone (like me) can afford to pay for GP points. im just talking about a sub-text to let us name the colony, so everyone can interchange and have their own personal touch to their planets without having to spend RL money they dont have to pay for GP points. its adding a name without changing it. |

why only give it a colony name on a arti draw? why not when you colonize it? so instead of changing Wasamilli to (whatever new name for the planet) it can just be like Wasamilli (Karvix's Playhouse) Or Sandrek (Zhu's Hope) |

no i dont mean be able to change the colonys name right away. i mean just to give it a name and it sticks with it untill some one else takes it away from you. lol get an arti to change it after that initial naming, but just to be able to name the colony in the first place would be cool |
