Call it a Halo, call it a Ringworld, call it what you will. I just used that in the topic to grab your attention. ![]() The characteristics of it would be the same randomizer as a terra, but with a +2 bonus on resources. Size Colossal, and it's specialty is invasion resistance, based on the unusual topography. A x3 multiplier for population, and a 750 passive Invasion Defense bonus. Not having the absurd-high resources of a Dyson puts it into it's own niche. It would be nice to be able to mission-aquire one, maybe a new step added after the Dyson creation line. |

lol i wouldnt mind getting halo, but considering all those methane-huffers on the outside of it, itll need some ethnic clensing to make it liveable. anyway, +1 to a mission-created collosal terrastyle planet |

Sweet. Can I have the Ark though? I want to push a button and get to a sheild world before the Halo's defenses wipe out every sentient creature in the galaxy..... |

Well Halo isn't the only sci-fi franchise to use ringworlds. This would be a cool planet type, and there could be Halo jokes in it. |

Old Ring- The ring is as old as time itself. It was one of the first created and still floats strong. +mega rich artifact +mega rich research +Abundant Mining New Ring- This ring was created relatively recently. It is still very un-developed. +Rich Artifact +Mega Rich research +abundant mining Infected Ring- This ring has fallen victim to an unkown alien species. They seem to have complete control of the ring. NPC planet 1000 pop +average artifact +mega rich research +Abundant Mining |

This sounds awesome, we can send the Master Chief to cleanse the infected rings when we invade. Death to The Flood. |

Being a massive Halo fan myself, I really like this idea. Maybe to help get in the mood, there could be a Limited Time ship module to compliment the Halo references. "Paladin Super Soldier: Provides extra 'n' invasion power." 'N' being a reasonable number or percentage for invasion. Not really a "module" so much as a person, but the Prototype mech isn't really a module, so to speak, either ![]() |

Or extra raiding power. Whichever seems more reasonable. |

Halo technically isn't a palnet. They are an artificial world. The halo rings were designed for 2 purposes. Purpose 1 a way to contain the all consuming flood parasites and prevent them from getting back into the galaxy. Purpose 2 is also the primary but a last resort, If containment fails a Halo ring could be fired alone wiping out any flood parasites and sentient life within that portion of the galaxy. If a ring failed to fire after activating it goes into standby mode. The ring then waits for a message from The Ark to fire. If the ark gives the command every single Halo ring in the galaxy will fire at once completely wiping out every single sentient creature in the galaxy. I know almost everything about the Halo franchise, the only thing I have yet to look into was the Forerunner Flood war. ![]() |

Dan could make this idea into an entire Halo parody mission. I can see it now... "Greetings. I am 343 Innocent Spark, monitor of this installation. Are you my reclaimer?" |

What about "434 Innocent Spark, overseer of the installation."? |

So we're gonna have cooking crew members now? ![]() I was thinking Paladins, in place of Spartans. Try something more menacing for the parasite. The stream parasite sounds like a urine bug ![]() |

Hey now a urine bug would still hurt. Although, TROJANS and ATHENIANS were both rivals or enemies of the historical Spartans, so that's why I put them in. Besides, they were also ancient warriors. Maybe... SAMURAI VIKINGS RED COATS |
