I was looking at the minerals on the trade screen, and noticed that aidonium loosely looks like dysilion. I propose that 8 more minerals are added, each one unlocking at a certain level, same as aidonium, and each one taking 5 space, just as aidonium does.
this way the initial minerals can be considered as 'low level' minerals, easily sustaining the expenses accrued by ranks under 160, while players 250-1000+ that have increasing costs for upkeep, colonization, and repair (i know its capped at 200 mil, but that gets costly) need the 'high ranked' minerals to continue growing, while also providing expansion for new tech instead of just requiring increasing amounts of aidonium into the thousands that not all players can fit in their cargo. (i myself am over 240 and only have 1300 cargo. msps are the absolute rarest artifact i draw.)
selling price, names, and unlock level can be decided by devs.

I think that sounds like a pretty good idea. Could use it for newer tech sometime too.

i figure aidonium was unlocked at 160, the chrisium equivalent could be unlocked at 200, the darrinyte equivalent could be unlocked at 280, the hydium equivalent could be unlocked at 400, the erixion equivalent could be unlocked at 560, pawlacite equivalent at 760, deiterion equivalent at 1000, dysilion equivalent at 1280, kurenite equivalent at 1600.

i did propose 2(or was it 4?) different minerals a long while back which needed to be unlocked via mission.
