Scans have confirmed that a large, mobile asteroid field will be entering our galaxy. Scientist extrapolations mark this as the Quinosa Event; that was previously a myth only mentioned in research of old archives. We should prepare some defenses for our colonies so that we may study this occurrence in relative safety.
Reward: Quantum Barrier Tower (size 2 building, grants +1 research and +400 defense, 1 per planet), looks like a dark purple, cylindrical circuit board with arches supporting it from the sides.

Unsettling Silence: 3 completions
We have noticed a significant drop in sightings of Rouge Science League ships. Though the Quinosa Event is almost here, we must find why they are going into hiding. Perhaps they know something that could affect our studies.
Reward: RSL Cloaked Outpost (battle, when defeated drops 200 RP and Rouge Phase Amplifier), the Rouge Phase Amplifier is a size 17 module that grants +30 cloak and +4% passive defense, that looks like a light purple dumbbell set on its end and many yellow cords leading from it.

Untimely Ambush: 5 completions
These amplifiers seem to adapt phase shifting technology for higher-order dimensions, but what does that have to do with an asteroid field? We must bring them back to our colonies for study quickly before the Quinosa Event arrives… Some Crimson ships are uncloaking and surrounding us! We must not let them steal the Amplifiers!
Risk: moderate damage (frequent)
Reward: Crimson Ambush Tactics (artifact, lowers the defense of target ship by 20% for 15 minutes, cannot be used on a ship that has active defense or attack buffs).

Surviving the First Wave: 4 completions
We won’t make it back in time! We must quickly find shelter for our ship or it will be torn to pieces! Scans reveal an abandoned Mylarai outpost nearby. Perhaps we can power up its mining equipment as a temporary defense against the asteroids.
Risks: stray asteroid (heavy damage, rare)
Reward: Mylarai Drilling Laser (size 10 module, grants +25 attack that triples against asteroids), looks like a Mark III Laser Cannon with mini fission cutters attached to it on mechanical arms.

Residual Energy: 12 completions
We have outlasted the first group of asteroids, though we should return home before another cluster comes. Some odd, plasma-like substance is floating around in the wake of the asteroids. On our way back we should gather some for tests.
Chance: 1 Quinosa Matter (special material, uncommon)
Reward: 10 Quinosa Matter, looks like a neon orange blob.

Final Preparation: 15 completions
Our colonies survived with very little damage. As our scientists get to work on studying the Quinosa Matter, we will start modifying the RSL technology to protect our planets from whatever they were afraid of. As the second wave of the Quinosa Event approaches, we will be ready.
Reward: Asteroid Shield Adaption (artifact, target owned planet gains passive 5% boost to defense, cannot be used more than once per planet), looks like a flattened blue dome with a brown grid over it.
