The Second Coming: 1 completion The second wave of the Quinosa Event will be here soon. Our modifications of planetary shielding will work for now. Studies show that Quinosa Matter is surprisingly inert, as if an unknown catalyst is needed. However, its plasmic nature makes it compatible with many systems, so perhaps we can rig it to boost our technology. Reward: Neutral Blueprints (artifact, allows the player to construct Null-Field Coatings on their ship) *Null-Field Coating: size 7 module; costs 25 Quinosa Matter to create; maximum 4 per ship; grants +10 cloak, +10 defense, and +10 recharge;* looks like a metal plate coated in Quinosa Matter. *Recharge is my term for restoring energy lost due to other modules A Changing Galaxy: 10 completions The second wave just hit. Our shielding is working just as expected against the asteroids… A ton of comm frequencies are flooding in! People are reporting massive biological changes to themselves and the environment! Konqul, Stryll, Energon, everyone is being altered! We must quickly find a way to stop this! Reward: Cancelation Trap (1 week trap artifact, when triggered it hits the attacker with the effect of a containment missile and the defender with the effect of a containment cage), looks like a woven grid of red wires surrounding a pale white sphere. Galaxy Legion Event: Starts at “A Changing Galaxy” and ends after “Crime Wave.” All players change to a random race and profession once a day until the event is over, where they return to normal. This includes choices that the player did not unlock yet and a few not released yet. ![]() Shifting Forms: 1 completion The alterations are odd, but they appear to have no effect on memories or mental states, and leave no adverse effects other than biochemical imbalances and mood swings. Perhaps we can harness the Quinosa Matter with the catalyst to induce the effect intentionally. Reward: Meta-matter Blueprint (artifact, when used allows the player to construct Morphic Injections*) *Morphic Injection: artifact; costs 4 Quinosa Matter to create; target ship changes to a random race and profession for 24 hours. It can also be used on yourself, and is not limited to races or professions you have unlocked; looks like a syringe filled with Quinosa Matter. Crime Wave: 5 completions With all the confusion of who-is-who, many ships are attempting to steal, fight, and pillage without fear of being recognized. The (your race) government cannot handle this anywhere past the homeworld so you will have to defend your colonies yourself. Requires: stolen property (special material gained from defeating Changeling Pirates* in the battle tab) Reward: “Honorable” Rewards (artifact, grants 1 hour production in artifacts and minerals and 3 political favor), looks like a pile of crates with many different insignias written on them. *Changeling Pirates spawn with matched level but variable attack, defense, and cloak. Their allegiance says “Changeling” but their race and profession is random from those available to the player. Foreboding Circumstances: 10 completions The RSL technology we used did nothing to protect us from the first or second waves. Who knows what will happen next? We must put our energy into predicting what the next wave and the last wave will do. Reward: Multi-fate Intelligence Node (size 2 building, 1 per planet, grants +100 cloak, +100 defense, and +3 research) Future Sight: 3 completions Deep space scanners and our intelligence network have been gathering information on the Quinosa Event. The Data is in, and our fears are true. A massive spacial flux is warping the time/space continuum, pushing around this asteroid field like cargo. We don’t know how this galaxy survived the Quinosa Event the previous time it came through, but the Rouge Science League was on the right track for surviving it. We are going to jump it! Reward: Intra-D Jumper Piston (size 10 module, +40 defense, +75 shield, +75 hull, -10 energy), looks like a Mark III Motion Compensator inside a Mark III Intra-D Collider that glows a dark purple-blue. |

Suddenly having your Upkeep double? Losing your 10% deck bonus? I know I would be seriously pissed if I spent GP to make a race change only to lose what I paid for, even if only temporarily. Otherwise, excellent work as always. I look forward to seeing you post mission chains. |

Oh, this would be so fun! I could change my race to stuff I really wanted every day! I would love to see this one implemented. The best one you've got so far Zophah. |

Kudos to a great mission chain. The race randomization sounds like a fun little event. However we should keep player classes the same, regardless of what race you change into. We don't need to screw with people's heads that much |

As long as we return to our original race and profession at the end, I am ok with it. |

If a player uses GP or such to change their race/profession during the event, it will become their new default. (but they still will change once a day until it's over) Because it is completely random, a rank 100 could end up as a Taltherian Fixer and a rank 700 could end up as a Human Merchant. To put it frankly, if you can't keep up with your Builder profession being removed, then you need more mining planets. |

I think player rank should be affected too ....... and if say a rank 98 shifts to a rank 280 all research/resourcce limits will go up and associated missions be available including possible ship upgrades eg:weapons etc....... or as a rank 610 gets down graded to a 215 his draws and missions degrade ...... will be great for some, bad for others ....good times! |

To quote the mission: zophah wrote: The alterations are odd, but they appear to have no effect on memories or mental states, I'm saying that it doesn't change the person, it just changes their form. There will be no rank changes. |

Is this actually gonna be a mission change? or event? Cause i really like it, Changing sounds good because if im a Sillixx Fixer , I could go to Taltherian Drannik,Genetarr, and the other unlockables and other beginning races. They should make a device called the Changling Device. Like the Glaviz Device and it changes your Race Profession for a week though not a day. That way its more fun ![]() |
