A small little word that a lot of people feel would make the game better.
Spending GL points on abandoning a planet is to be honest a silly thing...if there were no cap on how many planets you can have, I'd be okay with it, but since there is, it's really limiting some of the players who need to get rid of them.
I would suggest one of two things to improve the game:
1) Make a large sum of ingame cash as an option instead of the GL points 2) Make the Star Chart Purger able to get rid of your planet and any colony on it.

Perhaps we can make it a infinite repeatable mission after a player reaches, say rank 200? Give them time to appreciate planets before we allow them to abandon them so easily.
This mission would give a special artifact and would cost 1 Star Chart purger and 100 Energy each round with a total of 5 Charts and 500 energy per completion. The numbers can be adjusted.
Also, Dan can sell this artifact for impatient players for 10 GP.

disagree. dan needs money. people love abandoning old planets. and having the artifact worth 10 gp makes no sense. it only costs 5 gp to abandon

we do have those misson art(that's really hard to get) that turns horrible planet into good ones, and at that regardless of what the original was. (rift is one, there are some others that I'm not bother looking up) So if you play forever and ever, you will be rid of your worst ones~
But tbh, as a free player I would want this, as it would be only fair for ppl rank 100 or 200 or something able to get rid 3-5 planet that they picked up(that are horrible) back when they were noobs.
So, this is a want, not a need~ +0.5 support
As per the 10 gp artifact, we can always make it 5 uses each, but cost like 200 energy per use. So compared with 5 gp per, it would be 10 gp and 1000 energy instead of 25 gp. But yeah... if it's a one-use then it's = =

but everyone was noob at some point, so most ppl(that didn't go through a restart at some point) would have 2-5 bad planets. Whereas we will get to the point where we can turn them into good ones eventually, it does take a long time
So most free ppl between rank 100(when you are definitely no longer a noob) and 500(where the frees would have a chance of finishing the missions for "planet evolve" of some sort) are stuck with a few bad planets
That's what the suggestion is up to solve.
that's why I said only 3-5, any more than that would really be the player's own fault

I agree. Consider the following hypothetical situation (which happens VERY frequently in my opinion)
Player Joe joins Galaxy Legion. He picks his name, race and profession, then is taken straight into the tutorial. The tutorial tells him to scan for a planet, and he finds one. This planet is Small Barren or Volcanic with the top resource as Very Abundant. To the untrained newbie eye, Very Abundant is fantastic, and he counts himself lucky. He colonizes the planet.
*300 levels later*
Joe is a mastermind free player who loves his planets. He believes that he should stock up on the most resources he possibly can manage for his level. He has mostly Massive-size or larger planets. Joe is about to gain even more planets when he realized he maxed out his planets. Joe has just lost an opportunity at a planet that can really help him, because he still has the 4 Small and Average size planets he gained from his newbie days. Joe wishes he could fix it, but is already 300 levels too late to restart. This will continue to haunt him for the rest of his GL days.
To help the many Joes in Galaxy Legion, I think this update should be implemented. No one should be punished for not fully comprehending the game as soon as they enter it.

The point of it costing 5GP to abandon a colony is so dan makes money. Every n00b makes mistakes. Well, if you want to fix that mistake, it will only cost you 50 cents to fix it. If you're gonna complain about not wanting to spend money, the next 10 times you want to buy a soda, don't. Buy 100 GP, spend it on two FATHERS and abandoning 4 crap planets.
Or even better, why not, oh, I don't know, do 3 free 10 FB credit offers and use the GP to abandon some planets. Best of both worlds. Dan gets paid, and you don't have to spend any IRL money.

I agree im rank 318 and i still have 3 or 4 very abundant planets im not complaining i just take all the defence off and let the noobs invade them they get a green badge and an AWESOME WORLD and i get a free planet slot simple or i will pay 5 GP to drop if need be. Also i get 40GP from free offers every week just use your brain there's ways of getting rid of planet's besides dan changing the whole game for you.

Or you can do what I do and when the daily reward gives you gp use it to abandon your most worthless planet.

-1 If there was no limit on the amount of planets that you could have at any given time what is the point of abandoning planets? So what it costs 5 GP to abandon. When I was a newb I thought that it was to high a price but later on your like wow okay thats easy enough.
