 Top damager on npc choses reward

I searched and didn't find this suggestion though I'm sure its probably been made but just in case...

Is there any chance that on elites and bosses, the person that does the most damage could select their reward? This would provide incentive for people to do more damage, foster a fun competitive spirit, and reward higher activity levels. It wouldn't hurt the others in any way however as they'd still have the same chance to get any particular reward as they do now. Not sure how much of a nightmare this would be to code but I'm pretty sure it would be VERY well received.

yea I hate when I do the most damage and then get the worst artifact

I definitely wouldn't mind that; I did 70% to my first Hive Colony, and about 40% to the last one, and neither time was I one of the lucky ones that got the T-Plasma Hub : (

Dan could limit it any way he wanted of course. If he felt it was too powerful as stated, the choice could just up the odds of getting it or a person could only chose reward once a day etc.... pretty easy to tune to be useful but not overpowered.

Or this could be an ability that you gain from completing a mission. Once used (timer could be anything dan wanted), the next elite or boss to die you could chose reward.

There could be a sorta RNG-mix to it that you get the item like it is now but the top damager gets a link to draw a new artifact if he/she is not satisfied with the artie he/she got, this way, he/she could still get the same artifact, or some other thru the RNG (1 click only tho)

I was thinking about the 78 rank points I'd have if I could have chosen Rescued Stryll Prisoners over Prey Trackers. (And that's just what I have on hand at the moment).

ide say the best way to make sure it doesn't get out of hand with high players getting very good stuff all the time is just make it so the more you do the higher chance of a Gd thing you get then its not making it too easy but also a bonus for doing a lot of work

But sometimes people want the other reward.
For example, if a player has all the Dark Complex Thrusters, they might want the Dark Pylon Shifter.

Part of the excitement of playing the gam is to complete modules.. if we are always given a choice on what to get. The game will become boring and we will just move on to the next game.. the randomness of drops entices us to wait for the next one.....

Maybe this will be the one. I know it sounds frustrating but if we all complete very thing on the 1st try its going to be boring.

I think top damager and the finder should get a re roll I think that idea is the best.

i like the idear that the top dmg and finder get choice of arty cuz half the times i dont want what i get.

I'd like to see a way to swap modules that drop from the same NPC. Even at cost. Swap 3 modules you don't want for the one you want. With extra complex parts and credits cost or whatever. At first you can be OK with the RNG but after a while it gets extremely annoying. I have been killing Hypergrids for my 4th Forcevoider for two months now to no avail. Including doing 50-60% because people think they're not worthing the energy. Got a billion cores in the mean time that now are complex parts I have no use whatsoever.

On the hindsight a solution to my (and I bet I'm not alone in this) problem would be to implement a "buy dropped modules and buildings for complex parts". At 5-10x the cost you get from scrapping or whatever multiplier. To be honest I would pay 1-2k complex parts for that Forcevoider just to get it out of my system.

That would be great. I mission that costs complex tech parts that allows you to re-roll your NPC reward.

How about top damage gets a new badge with the drop? With items to buy like the PVP badges.

i would like to see where if no enough people fought the elite/rare boss, say it only took 2 of the 3 players to defeat the boss, that the one who issued the alert would get the artifact meant for the 3rd player, and if the reward was for more than 3 players the players doing the most damage would get a remainder reward, and the next player doing the most damage would get a remainder reward until all rewards have been claimed

in example; A rank 250, Stalar Command Center provides reward for up to 10 players. if it only takes 7 players to destroy it then 3 rewards would be left over (previously unclaimed and wasted). the Player that alerted it would get 1 of the 3 remainder rewards and the player doing the most damage would get the 2nd remainder reward and the next highest damage player would get the 3rd remainder reward
