Post subject:  Additional Diplomacy options?

When I saw that we could have NAPs with other legions, the first thing that came to my mind was alliances. An Allied Pact we'll call it, is when a war breaks out between two legions, the allied legions of both of the warring legions will be alerted, and given the opportunity to assist their respective ally. However, should they feel it is unnesessary, the allied legions could declare Neutrality, which leads into another option. When a war breaks out, Neutrality can be declared if a legion not presently in the war does not want to get involved. When Neutrality is declared, the non-allied warring legions will be aware and reminded to refrain from attacking the Neutral legion. Opinions anyone?

This was one of the causes for WW1 and WW2, are you trying to start GW1(Galaxy War One)

That's what the Neutrality part is for, to prevent that if allied legions don't want to get dragged into a war, which isn't like a NAP so nobody can be like Germany in WWI and attack a neutral country(Belgium).

The Serbia-Russia alliance was actually a secret alliance, as the "rules" were that alliances were to be announced. Alliances here will be known, to make people think a little more before they decide to go to war. To Pretom's comment, I do agree with his comment, and adding onto that, keep track of Allied legion(s)' wars to see if said legion(s) need assistance at all.

Hey all :) It is basically a good idea - but the only problem is if all the top legions form an alliance then they will kill the game as no one will take them on be it hack or attack!
Btw ww1 and 2 did not start because of this according to my history lessons - or was I sleeping at the back??

Alliances were a cause for WWI and WWII but again, Alliances here are countered by declaring Neutrality. If all the top legions had an Allied Pact, the best everyone else can do is declare Neutrality and thus threat is null and void.

Sadly it was more complicated than that

True, but I'm trying to make it simple for the non-history buffs ofn the forum lol

Well other than NAP, some legions like a formal no-invade but allow pvp among each other; I think that's a good option to add.
