Hey,

Current combat system is too fast not giving defender time to respond.. Right now, I can simply spam attack defender to disable him that he didn't have time to erect his trap or any counter attacks measurements..

My suggestion is to add timer to attack button. Maybe 1 minute default per attack. That way, defender can respond and fight back. Introduce new artifact that can speed up attack timer. Also, introduce research tree to speed up the attack timer permanently just like relay does to energy timer..

That way, defenders can have more fun in defending from attacker and COULD survive the attack that way..

What do you think? Right now, it's all spam attack then disable then I get disabled from his spam-attack so go on. It is not that fun. Attack timer to be added could make combat more interesting.

I agree about introducing a timer to reduce spam-attacks, but if the other person is not on then what is the point of timing it?
If the timer is used, the time-something atrifact can work for it just like it does for hack and raid.

i brought this up before. but i think 3 seconds per attack would be the perfect balance between speed of the attacker and reaction time of the defender.

edit: an attack warning would help too...

I got agree with this, I dont think a person should be able to defend themselves as if they were online even when they arnt but at the same time I think a timer that was still relatively short to stop spam clickers is needed.

I think this would drive me absolutely nuts, but I don't really attack much, so whatever :)

As it is, the repair timer doesn't mean much unless you're doing it in vain... Hull means nothing x2
