Hey all,

I know I haven't been playing this game long, but I just thought up of a couple ideas how to improve the planet aspect of the game. I welcome feedback and thoughts about my ideas. Here goes:

1. "Planetary Mass Expander" artifact, worth 7,000+ artifact points

This artifact expands the planet size by one level by growing its mass through some kind of sci-fi way, like teleporting asteroids from the asteroid belt into the planet using phase technology or nanotechnology, giving the planet more mass and more space.

I figure, since we have resource terraformer artifacts that upgrades resources by one level, I figure, why not do the same for planet size? To offset the advantange of this, the artifact points are more expensive than the terraformer artifact.

2. Moons

I was thinking that moons could be included with a planet as a 4th resource type called "space". Moon can vary in size, and they provide a space bonus to the planet.

No moon = 0% space bonus
Tiny moon = 10% space bonus
Small moon = 20% space bonus
Average moon = 30% space bonus
Large moon = 40% space bonus
Huge moon = 50% space bonus

Earth's moon in real life should be "Large" or even "Huge" as Earth has the largest moon in proportion to the planet itself. Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, etc. have tiny moons compared to the planet size. The moon should have the approximate rarity that planet sizes do. Meaning Huge moons are pretty rare like Massive / Colossal planets, and No moon or Tiny moon are as common as Tiny or Small planets. Average moons should be as common / rare as Large planets, and so on.

We could do a different label for the moons like 0 moon to 6 moons, 0 moons giving 0% space bonus and 6 moons giving 50% space bonus. Just throwing around ideas.

What do you guys think about those ideas?

I think those two ideas should be combined with the 10000 point artifact called (maybe Moon Coallesser)
SUMMARY: Moons can only be gained through an artifact, stay around a planet forever, only use(if your smart) is for defenses and population, has seperate space as the planet it orbits. Moons have type and have suckish resources to average resources all around depending on type. Most commom type is barren which has suckish resources all around. Least common is Life Supporting which has Average all around.
Example: Planet: Bolger
Type: Terra
Size: Large(51 space)
Resources: Reasearch- very abundant
mining- average
artifacts- rich
Moon: Balger
Size: Huge
Type: Barren
Resources: Research- Sparse
Mining- Very Sparse
Artifacts- None
In this example, the player who owned the planet used a Moon Coalleser to create Balger, the chances of Balger being huge were 1/6, Average or Large 1/3, small or tiny 1/2. And if he was smart he put all his resource buildings on Bolger and put defensive buildings on Balger's 26 space(1/2 of 51 is 25.5, so rounded that is 26).
