Mercuric planets tend to inhabit the inner parts of a solar system and are not hospital to life. They remind many of a cross between a gas planet and a volcanic. They are yellow to green in color. They are high in research and minerals. Because they are closer to a system's star they are not very habitable and have a population penalty of -25%. Being close to the star radiation helps hid them from scans and gives them a 25% bonus to any cloak. Normally they are only average to very large in size and not habitable. |
