ok its sorta like a planet in the way you find it when scanning for planets but what i propose is there would be temporary planets called meteors they always are extremely rich in mining and sparse and up on all other materials that are once populated lasts about a week until resources are diminished and it simply no-longer shows on a chart or anything when you colonies one it does not count as a planet you can colonies up to 5 meteors at a time until you reach rank 50 then 10 meteors at a time once you reach rank 100 ect so what do you all think? you could get a new tech tree for building to be on meteors (extra cheap buildings to make thees worth it) |

would it be just mining |

id assume so, i mean rationalizing it realistically, no life would be on a meteor so artis would probly be out or at least Very Sparse. research might be a possibility tho. but like he said after mining is done it would probly go bye bye |

probibly very sparse and higher on the other resources basically i came up with this cause i thought that theyd be nice boosts of cash for players |

i like this idea. but would we find em through scanning or the battle tab? cause i dont really like the idea of scanning them, but if they randomly show up on the battle tab, and gave us the option to either destroy it for minerals, or the chance to colonize it, that could be cool. its pretty much a combination of this idea and the other asteroids idea. |

well, why not have them randomly pop up while your not on, kinda like the battle tab. and if you dont colonize it within enough time they go bye bye. and one doesnt always have to retake its place right away, so when your scanning and you dont get a planet you still have a chance to get a meteor |

@devinsimps that randomly pop up ideas pretty good i agree with you on that |

im with you devinsimps it should just show up randomly |

no reason why it can have high arti's / research - might be a piece of a planet that exploded. |

@DGvol as i said very sparse and up on the others meaning the other 2 are random but the mining is always extremely rich and up |

There is an old thread that had the idea of random events found while scanning for planets. Taking that idea I would like to see: "In your search for planets an asteroid field with good resources was found. We can build temporary mining platforms to extract the minerals." Then you have 4 choices: 1. leave it alone 2. build basic systems that net 10 mineral resource per hour, for 1 week. small cost in credits 3. build variable systems that net 100 mineral resource per hour, for 1 week. very large cost in credits 4. build complex systems that net 1000 mineral resource per hour, for 1 week. small cost in complex tech parts and huge cost in credits |
