I was scrolling through the artifact list and saw that some Good artifacts were scrappable like rescued prisoners, Durtanium Brackets, Crimson Cluster Missiles
My point is, why are these artifact scrappable? It's a tragedy waiting to happen! if someone accidentally clicks "scrap" for "Mass Surface Melter", im sure he/she will be all over the forums in the "Issues and Support" Topic.
Just pointing out that those really good artifacts shouldn't be scrappable. It'll save dan having to deal with lag/mouse clicking issues or whatever.
PS - i didn't make this thread cuase i accidentally scrapped something good.

There is a small chance that someone does not want these artifacts (well or has no idea how good they are). In either case scrapping them should be an option.
Though it would be real cool of they have 0-1 complex parts. Just to make em tempt able to scrap for every one else.

Who on earth wants to scrap a mass surface melter ?!?!?!?? People that don't speak english?!
If they have no idea how good it is, then we're doing a favour for them making sure they don't do anything stupid. It's not like people are gonne be like
"Hey! i can't scrap my Qausi-Spacial Expander! I'm gonna write a message of complaint to the devs >( "

Ones that you can only buy or find rarely are a different game then those that you just pick up.
Theirs knowing better and the game telling you how good it is not you.
The ones you said there Commonwealth are the ones that game is kind of giving you a hint. You you use said hint in tha6 case leaders to other problems...

Good Idea Let's leave the scrap button there and let people keep accidentally scrapping there "Terraformers" , "Prisoners" and "Gamma Crystallisers"

Father being dan. lol People Shouldn't tolerate repeated stupidity. That's why we get rid of the scrap button for certain artifacts

Why force something you personally know better?
Yes I have over used a Planet Flux once. But I knew how good it was.
Those that cannot see what things are worth will if not scrapping them will misuse them anyway. Either way it is a loss...
Just it takes someone learning how much something was/is worth from using it. That is different then always, saying this good use it this way or else.

I see your point, but most people accidentally click the button, only the minority scrap qausi spacial expanders due to sheer stupidity. i hear stuff like mouse lag and a artifact (like a drannik sabotuer) from the next page pops up and woops *scrap*, a few weeks ago, some guy accidentally scrapped half a dozen interrogation centres. It was some mouse lag, not that he scrapped it cuase he had a finger in his nose.

lag happens it is a pain no matter how it happens. Best thing to do when it happens is to talk the dan and crew.
Though a high number of people do, do things cuase the hae a finger in there nose. If they know it or not.
That is how I am seeing this fully. Just from shutting down one front, you just make it wild and waky another way. Why is there a small crystal planet with average mining... Not like that has not already happened (ok I have seen close).

Seriously, ship upgrade artifacts shouldn't be scrappable. Either use them or hold on to them. There's no downside to using them, and if you're powerful enough that you don't need them, the pittance you get for scrapping is totally pointless anyway. What I don't understand is why can't we give away Null Fuses? Are they really that good?
