how about an increase of production for having multiple planets in the same planetary system ? i noticed several planets that have almost the same name, the only difference is the roman numeral.... for instance : omicron v, omicron vi, etc.....it would make sense to me that if you control more planets in a particular system, it would be easier to collect production and possibly enable better defense.....
or am i mistaking that these similar named planets are in the same star system ?

It's too random, so it'd be a little unfair. It's cool to have planets in the same system, but I don't think it should give a bonus.

well, maybe you could get an ability to focus your scans on a single planet and get a higher chance to scan for new planets in that system
randomness is a big part of this game already, so...
