this idea is kinda out there and im not sure if i like it yet either so ill just through it out there

what if you could buy a second ship? called a civilian ship
it would cost
2000 complex tech parts
5 terrasect containers
20 political favor
40 xts9
10000 exotic matter
2 billion credits
it can be a ship of any races you want(even if its not your own race) and it can level up just like a normal starting at rank 1 (you can use the research modules you have already discovered in it but i doubt youd have the size until you level up a few times) and it can battle and scan ect it would have its own energy meter and it would bonus your main ship by it can help in combat (it cant do missions its more of a support vessel like a shuttle you can use) or you could stuff it full of scanners and use it for finding planets. it levels up every time you level up 5 times so its rank =20% of your rank

limitations
the civilian ship can only carry 3 weapons 2 defensive system 3 scanners 2 cloaking system 3 hulls and 2 shielding devices

bonuses by buying a civilian ship it can help you in combat, you can hold extra cargo space, when guarding a planet it boosts production output by 10%

special ability: every time you level up the civilian ship also gives you 4 civilian favors which you can spend 1 civilian favor will allow you to add one more crew to your ship

also you could buy up to 3 of them

it should be changed
I have an idea maybee something like you can buy civilian ship, it would cost:
2000 complex tech parts
5 terrasect containers
20 political favor
40 xts9
10000 exotic matter
2 billion credits

ability: by buying a civilian ship you can hold extra cargo space, each level it can hold 10 more cargo, the civilian ship also gives you 2 civilian favors each time you level up which allows you to increase scientists or engineers, each favor allows you to get 2 engineers or 3 scientists

well the civilian favors is a wee bit odd. why not change it to increased Population. like X2 what it normally would be.

thats a good idea i think im going to change it like that but also im thinking the civilian ship should be able to carry 2 weapons 1 defensive system 3 scanners 1 cloaking system 3 hulls and 2 shielding devices those are its max stuff what do you guys think of that?

+1 I definitely like this idea however...for the lower ranks could you possibly make it easier for them idk you gotta think of every one when comming up with new stuff...the idea I love it would be interesting owning a second ship

upgrading your 1st ship already takes a lot of artifact resources. if you divide those resources just to get another ship upgraded that would be a pain.

Its not only about research.. this game is about adding as much crew as you can on your ship.

+ durtainium brackets
+ xcharge
+ cargo

After that all ships are the same we will only be different on the number of rank points (or android helmsmen and scientist) that we get as we play the game.

what is the civilian ships were not only added but in a way to help the planets. so it cost whatever you think in parts, and it would carry a small boost to the planet as well as act as a Offensive/ Defensive ship guarding the planet. so it would have to be killed to invade the planet, as long as it is alive it will offer the class bonus to the planet.

Key points

each planet may only have 4 and they are a squad so they atk as one and die as one. but each has to be built separately. so when u engage them on a planet it is one target but 1 has like 500 atk/def and say 1000hp 2 would be 1k atk/def and 2k hp, up to 4 having 2k atk/def and 4k hp.

Post subject:  Re: buying a second ship?

ok so i was just thinking about saying if you could buy more than 1 of them i was thinking you could buy up to 3 assuming you have the supplies and theres a new profession called commodore possibly for the konquil which allows you to build a 4th one anybody think this would be a good addition

Post subject:  Re: buying a second ship?

+1, but lets leave out the commodore profession. Everyone will change to Konqul to get the extra ship. We will lose diversity in the game.

Post subject:  Re: buying a second ship?

true what if commodoore gave you some other bonus upgrade? like an extra crewman every time you level up or somthing im editting it out but i think a proffession to go with this is a good idea so post suggestions on what that could be
