I was thinking of a way to increase activeness in the game by creating the official Galaxy Legion Challenges, I have ideas. The way challenges would work is it would show prizes in a list like: *Planets *Minerals *Credits *Galaxy Points *Artifacts *Research Bonus (Works like a Alien Data Disc) *Researched Modules (fully Researched) *Badges *NPC locations *Rank Points and there be requirements for joining and doing the missions like for example: Join by clicking (Temporary register until selected Challenge prize timer runs out) the start button and you select a challenge prize you want to aim for, look at the conditions required to enter and join, so you joined up to the challenges and complete the objectives required to gained the prize. But to explain it a little more, heres a example what a prize requirements might be: Requirements: Must disabled more than 4 players and hacked two players. Prize: Credits Prize Total: 100,000/2000 XP Mission Objective: Kill 10 NPCs in 48 hours. (Note: if you think this amount listed is silly, its is probably silly, but its just an example). Also the challenges would have a difficulty scale that changes depending on your current rank, race, Base Level which would result of raising the number of things you have to do. Succeed Message: Congratualations you won a Prize!-100,000 Credits and 2000 Experience Points! Fail Message: Try again later handsome-Zilch Winnings. Thats my ideas so far, but i will like to hear your constructive comments and critism! Love or to not Love Nannoch

+1 I think that this might be a good idea. It needs some work and, obviously, a lot more challenges with correctly scaled earnings, etc. but all in all I like it. To get this straight though, you are not actually challenging another player so much as challenging yourself. Correct? "Competition" makes it sound like you are competing against other players and that is a whole different ballgame.

I'd like it if they are actually challenging. Present the player with different levels of difficulty and different types of interaction (self, allies or against an enemy). They could be something like an alien cryptogram, memory game, reflex/reaction time game, logic games etc. etc. And even something like a console which you can interact but doesn't come with any instructions on how to solve

Some Rewards for reaching milestones in various areas of play, kind of like the mission reward tiers. Adds a new layer of depth for things to try.

Great idea! I think that a difficulty scale would be nice, eg:
Easy: Kill 2 NPCs in 12 hours Rewards: 100xp, orange badge
Medium: Kill 6 NPCs in 12 hours Rewards: 400xp bronze badge
Hard: Kill 10 NPCs in 12 hours Rewards: 1,200xp, Terraforming device, silver badge
Elite: Kill 30 NPCs in 24 hours Rewards: 5,000xp 2,000,000 credits, Terraforming device, gold badge
Impossible: Kill an elite enemy in 1 week. Rewards: 5 Galaxy Points, 10,000xp, 5,000,000 credits, Quasi-Spacial Container, Terraforming device, Platinum badge.
Again, the badges are like the red, blue, yellow and greens, and could have rewards such as:
Orange x30: 10 random red/blue/yellow badges or 1 green. Bronze x 25: Prison Chassis artifact (-100 max pop, +2mining, +3artifact +1 research, 2 space, limit 2 per planet) Silver x 20: Home defence Nexus chassis (1 research, 300 attack, 1 space) Gold x 10: Galaxy Wheel free spin. Platinum x 3: Colossi Ion Cannon (requires Ion Channeling) 30 space, 200 attack, limit 2 per ship. Platinum x 3: Colossi Dampener (Requires Inertial Dampening) 30 space, 200 defence, limit 1 per ship. Platinum x 3: Colossi Thruster (Requires Spacial Thrusters) 30 space, 200 defence, limit 1 per ship. Platinum x 5: 5 Galaxy Points
As you can see I have significantly expanded on the idea, with the inclusion of badges. Perhaps also have rank caps for the difficulty.
Easy: Rank 20. Medium: Rank 40. Hard: Rank 75. Elite: Rank 100. Impossible: Rank 150.

The three games I play most are FrontierVille, Galaxy Legion, and Bushwacker. What keeps me coming back to each of them is customization and new missions regularly, but the one thing Galaxy Legion lacks that Frontierville has is pointless but fun and rewarding to get achievements. Even BW has them... usually in the form of annoying pets that follow you around just because you mugged enough bandits to get the Easter Bunny's stolen Chocolate Eggs back. Not kidding btw. A Turkey, A reindeer, an Easter Bunny, A Cupid, and a Leprechaun I think. It's silly. Anyway, my point is I like the idea, even if the rewards are only so so. Still, if the rewards were better than soso, I'd be happier still.
