Pretty simple, the ability to rescind an alert you sent out. Would not effect the re-alert timer.

so you will not have to wait to alert again if you cancel the alert?

The timer is there for a number of reasons, and rightly so. - It stops multi's from giving planets continuously - It keeps balance - Reduces mass planet sellin

i think they mean just cancel the alert, and it would still be a 12 hour wait... if thats the case, then +1
if not then -1

no if you read it it sayes it will not effect the re-alert timer. so your timer would still be 12 hr even if you cancled the alert you sent out.
+1 to your idear its a fair one, and then there would be no mistake on atking somone by mistake that you felt did not need it any more.

I think this needs to go a step further.
Leaders or Officers need to be able to cancel alerts.
This would not reset their alert timer at all, it simply would stop people from being able to target whatever was shared.
This would prevent many problems, especially when someone alerts over a single battle tab hit, and even though the comm messages say not to hit him, people hit out of reflex.

+1 to cancelling alerts, as long as they dont affect the timers.
