I'm not sure what to call it but it would take 25 Omicron mines, 25 Grav whip traps and 25 alarm sentries and would essentially be a stronger version of the grav whip trap.
for most people the gravwhip trap doesn't really do anything to them, and we have thetacron mines, so why not an upgrade to the grav whip trap? I guess an upgrade to the same amount of damage that the thetacron does but that is debatable.

An upgrade to 10 thousand or so damage at least could be pretty good. Maybe not use Alarm Sentries though, as those are in Recondite Intruders already (too many of them, I think), but Grav Whip and Omicron Traps would be good.

well so far as I've seen, all the blue prints require 3 artifacts to make them and I didn't really see any other artifacts that would really fit in.

I think the Crux Amplifier only takes two, but I wouldn't mind a third thing, just not the Alarm Sentry Trap.

My daughter actually had a good idea for a planet trap that I'd like to pass on. The Black Egg (Name Taken From Starflight's Planet Destroyer) Duration: 7 Days If the target planet is successfully invaded and conquered, it is permanently destroyed and lost forever. I have 1 planet I'd systematically use these on, because it is the designated home planet for my family. But something like this would have to be exceedingly difficult to find, create, and obtain, and probably shouldn't be buyable. And yes, I'm aware of how disturbing it is that an 11 year old thinks that destroying our home planet rather than letting it fall into enemy hands is the way to be.

it does only take two, I just looked it up in the wiki, but it takes energy as well. so following the current rules, if it only has takes two artifacts to produce it, then it would take some energy as well.

That's exactly the point. What if it is a Dyson? Then some guy 700 ranks over you scans it, and takes it from you? There's nothing you can do about it. You can't take it back. You don't have a chance in hell.
I'd rather it turn to dust than fall into the hands of my enemies.
