Is it just me or does anyone else at times want to be able to use a Calming Amplifier with the knowledge that when they come back within 12 hr limit their ship will still be in the same state it was.
I thought the original intention was to let a player leave the game (sleep/dinner/activity/etc.) and come back later for PvP.
Well I tried to do that tonight for a family dinner.
I check back in after dinner and find my ship is disabled, hacked and raided.
(Yes I'm getting into PvP and our legions are at war.)
Why shouldn't I just dump the all my Calming Amplifier's when it's so easy to remove one from an opponent?
The Calming Amplifier would be useful during PvP if I knew I could put it on my ship and leave but as it is now it's worthless against any opponent at my rank and above.

Agreed, 100%. All they do is take up cargo space. You're better off copping a Halcyon from some random BT target, so at least your ship is completely safe for an hour.

Yeah, it would be cool if it couldn't be removed, but they could also make it prevent all offensive action by or against the player it's on.

This is also unfair to PVPers. So deal with it. That or do the smart thing, and cloak off BT's till you come back.

It's not about realism. Imagine sitting there on your comp for 12 hours with a full tank of energy while your legion continously alerts megacomplexes, Queens and fabrication plants.

So everyone the legion we are at war with can see me. Although annoying if I couldn't NPC I would be ok with it. before I left I did attack my battle tab until I was H but that only gave me one hour! Of course it would be a pain to my opposition. However I have a real life and would like to be able to use an artifact that would allow me to leave the game for at least 6 hours and not worry about being attacked. That's just my view! Don't others that play this game leave the game for a while. I swear some of my opposition don't sleep or have bots or others log in for them. Maybe they don't have a life or need for sleep.

So it sounds like you want to be able to hit whoever you want whenever you want and then walk away without any reprisal. Terrible idea. What would stop me from zeroing you out, and then hitting a calming amp every time I was alerted. No way. Not fair.

You have 73! If they were not able to be removed by a missile as you suggested then you could use one every 12 hours and not run out for over a month. How is that running out fast? I have +100 of them and get at least one a day so that would pretty much make it an unlimited supply.
